Evan chuckled, "You think I'll take a risk on that piece of promise?"

She shrugged again, "You think I'll give you my piece of advice in exchange for nothing?"

The guy played his oh so perfectly shaped chin with his finger, probably weighing his options. "Sometimes we are like politicians…."

"Promising during election then forgetting everything when they already got their throne?" She cut in a strong word. "Give me three months. If you think I don't have the capability, you can easily take me out of your payroll"

The guy angled half of his body horizontally, scrutinizing her whole body and then her knees trembled again, "How can I believe that you're good in marketing when you don't market yourself the right way?"

"What?" She gasped. What the…

He quickly took down his feet from his desk and straightened again while still staring at her. This time, he leaned his back on his chair that it bounced his back in a little bit of way, "You're wearing a blazer and a slacks two sizes up of your body, a simple white thing inside that I'm still asking myself if it's a camisole but I know plain. Shoes that seen better days. That's not a young woman should wear on a company that supposedly you researched promotes a "hip vibe""

She lifted her brows in defiance, "Are you saying that I need to wear vibrant colors and deep cut blouse to show some skin so that I can have this job? Or, excuse my words, a fuck me shoes and too slim pants to cover my ass? Because that's not a marketing assistant is for."

He chuckled while writing something on the paper in front of him. She's pretty sure its about her and her foul language. "You can be hip while being formal looking. Those scrap you're wearing right now doesn't give justice on your shape."

"I'm surprised that this interview turned out to be the importance of my fashion sense and not about you catching if I lied on my resume"

The guy sher her an eye and she lengthen her neck to give a defiance face. The guy lifted his brow.

"I knew people from these companies you put here. Guys from upper management, I can just let one of my people outside my office to investigate on those temp jobs you did and why didn't you consider applying there. Three big and famous companies. As a matter of fact I already wrote here the name of the person one of my employee should contact to know more about you"

"Your interview reminders just says dress smart," that retort came out of her tongue like a complaint.

He sighed and put down that pen at last and stared again, "How about this, is that what you wear everyday?"

"I… I'm not…" she cleared her throat, "It's just that…"

A palm lifted in the air cut her, "Go back on Monday. Let me see what usual age appropriate formal wear you really use and I'll decide by then if I'll hire you"

"That sounds jerk," Billie concluded while biting that poor straw of that milk tea. Her friend's straw got a pink lipstick stain again, that's from putting layered of lip colors.

"He's not," Primo defended. "He really got a point. You should market your self better. Why the hell you wore that kind of trash!"

"It's the only thing that suits me on that second hand shop!"

"Then borrow! I can loan you if you texted me early," Billie said

She rolled her eyes and stomped her feet, "You are tall! Your tshirt would look like a dress to me."

Billie is tall by their country's standard. Mari's 5'-5" frame is a dwarf by her brown head mate's 5'-9" height.

She stomped as she walked on that boardwalk where they are strolling that Saturday. The place called Grantham, a place on the Southern Island. Their small country just made up of two islands and the Northern island where all of the rich guys resides. Including Evan Wolfe. She and all of her friends reside there too yet they are just the so so. Not rich, just got lucky that they live there. The other one is the Southern Island. Bigger yet that's where the poorest citizen reside. Although, that island is the main reason why their country are rich in general because of the tax racking up from that place. It's where famous white beaches located. A tourist haven. Grantham is happened to be one of the provinces of the Southern Island after a tall bridge connecting those two. Nope, Grantham doesn't have those white beaches but have numbers of manufacturing plants. Lately, they put on a boardwalk so that some people can see something new, not just those smoke belching humungus structures.
