If I were to write a story

It wouldn't be about a princess falling for her prince

Nor saved by a dragon and eventually had to kiss

Nor meeting a witch or fall to a long deep sleep

If I were to write a story

It would that one girl who hardly called home, home

With her crooked crown and broken slippers

You would had heard this before, but I tell you,

It would be better than the stories you called silly

If I were to write a story,

It would be a mechanical doll in an antique store

Waiting patiently for the right owner to be sold

Oh yes, I'll be telling you how they were broken of

little girls getting bored with mental issues

that hardly been told

If I were to write a story

Tragic novella would be the typical main genre

It would be about a girl watching the same doll

Countless times she walked by an antique store

Staring, admiring the porcelain skin as it sings

If I were to write a story,

It would be about that girl who admired it from afar

The doll in the music box full of scars

And surprisingly the more she looks at it

The more she sees herself in it

And I tell you she did grow like one,

Brown, bruised, break-takingly beautiful like her mom
