Chapter 16: 'CATFISHED'

"CAN SOMEONE CHANGE MY GENDER ALREADY?!" You exclaimed, busting open the door to the employee area.

"What's wrong Y/n?" One of the newer mechanics asked.

"Well, I was on my way here when..."

*15 minutes ago...*

"I told you dicknips I'm not interested!" You screeched at the man that has been following you ever since he saw you around the corner. 

"Come on! Please! I'm really nice I swear!" He begged. 

You finally stopped in your tracks and sighed. This guy was clearly desperate and lonely. Which was pretty surprising considering he does seem like a pretty nice dude and wasn't that bad looking either. You turned around to him and struck a deal. 

"Okay look, I have work and I'm not interested, but let hagle with you. I'll see if I can hook you up with one of my friends instead alright?" 

His face seemed to light up at that. 

"Really? You'd do that for me?!" He grinned happily, and you just nodded in response. "THANK YOU SO MUCH! Here is my name and information! Call me when you get the details!" He quickly handed you a sheet of paper and skipped away.

"And now we're here." You groaned, pulling the paper out of your pocket. "Stuck with some dude who needs a girl for a day and I got no one!" 

"Well, what if someone here wants to go on a date?" Another asked. "They might be up to it." 

"Well, I don't think so because one, I'm close to every employee here like everyone thinks I am beside the mechanics, and TWO Monty has a show tomorrow! So no one is going to be clear enough to go!" 

"Aww man, you're right." She sighed. "Well, no harm in trying right? I'm sure someone would be willing to help you!" 

"Sooooo, you wanna...." You began slowly, hoping she'll catch your drift. 

"No." She deadpanned. 

"Damn!" You hissed, snapping your fingers in frustration. 

"I'll do it." Joie spoke up out of nowhere, walking into the room sipping a milkshake from Fizzy's Emporium. 

Everyone heads shot over to him. 

"You serious?!" You exclaimed in shock. 

"Yeah, I mean, I like men and everyone growing up thought I was a girl growing up so it shouldn't be that hard." 

You felt like crying.

"JOIE YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" You ran up to him and engulfed him in a life-threatening hug. 

"No, problem-!" He coughed out from the lack of air.

It was around near closing time and the animatronics were off for the day, so naturally, they were using this time to either rest or get ready for tomorrow. Montgomery of course, was doing the second option! 

He was cleaning his guitar and humming a song he planned to perform the next day when he heard the door to backstage open. He looked up, a huge smile appearing on his face as he shot up and ran over to the person that came in. 

"Hey Joie man! You gonna be at my show tomorrow?" Montgomery perking up once he met with the Frenchman that had entered the backstage.

"Oh! Uhhh, well you see, I uhhh..." Joie began to sweat bullets. "I sort of, got a date tomorrow..."
