Colette sits on her desk, writing the notes of her history teacher's lesson like she always does, being polite and obedient. She sits like a lady trapped in a 14 year old body, her legs crossed and her back straight. Every teacher loved her. Everyone thought she was too serious, maybe she wasn't acting like a student enough, like she was supposed to, for her long term mission as a shield agent.
Her history teacher Mr. Green, starts talking about the bill of rights and the amendments. Colette's a very intelligent woman, and she's heard about this a thousand times. But of course, her face looked very interested in the lesson that made Mr. Green proud of her.
"Melinda, name two rights of the first amendment." Mr. Green called on Colette.
"Freedom of speech and the freedom of religion, sir." She answered correctly.
Her undercover name is Melinda Roberts. Pretending to be a student for a year isn't a hard task, but she got so used of her fake name that she started to hate it.
"That's correct!" Mr. Green smiled, and continued talking.
Colette sighed. She wished that she was fighting aliens and bad guys so much, but since the battle of New York and Hydra, nothing fun was happening.
Colette wears an earpiece everyday, obeying Coulson's orders. He hasn't ordered her to do anything today, which made her upset.
Until now.
Agent Coulson yelled at her ears out of nowhere making Colette jump.
"Agent Colette, are you here? I need to talk to you right now. It's extremely urgent!" Coulson said. Panic in his voice.
"I'm in the middle of class." Colette whispered, but everyone heard.
"Melinda, are you alright?" Mr. Green thought she was crazy, but she avoided him anyways.
"What's the problem sir?" Colette said in her normal - lady voice. She stood up.
"Aliens are attacking your school! The aliens from the battle of New York. I'm sending the Avengers there." Coulson said.
"But what about the-"
"Forget about that! Put your gear on and get ready. They're close." Coulson cut me off. She did what he said: Colette ran in the bathroom and quickly put my suit on, and took her gear inside the mirror, where it has been hiding. She was about to open the door when..
CRASH
a small earthquake made Colette drop down the floor. She shrug it off, and ran to the school field, where the invaders were. The adrenaline was rushing down her body. She took grip of her gun, smiled of excitement, and kicked the door.
"Finally." Colette murmured.
