Mew had gladly gobbled up all of the food that Gulf made, saying it was all delicious. Gulf had, in his happiness, drink a little more alcohol than usual, and had been left rolling around, laughing on the floor as they conversed.

"Anyway, everyone thinks we're dating."

"Maybe..." Gulf cocked his head. "Either way, you were cruel. Why were you that cold?"

"Cold? I told you I was going to tell people, didn't I?"

"And I told you that I wasn't going to answer their question. It's all right for you to say things, but it's against the rules to try and get me to commit to an answer."

He looked up at Mew with wide eyes. Mew shrugged.

"But if I didn't say anything, then a lot of other guys might go after you. It's only natural for me to worry about you."

"Worry? Why?" Because of the beer, his body felt very relaxed. Gulf lay on his side.

"I bet lots of people must have pulled you into the restroom and felt you up."

"...nope." Gulf closed his eyes. He felt good and so sleepy. "Nope. What are you saying, Mew?"

"You think you can get away from me?"

"I could never run away...there is only you Mew..."

"Really?"

Suddenly, Mew sounded distant. He sounded like he was shaken by something.

Gulf extended his arms towards Mew. "I only sleep with Mew."

Mew muttered something but Gulf couldn't make it out. He wanted to keep talking with Mew. He wanted to keep looking at him.

But when he tried to open his eyes, he couldn't. His cheeks was being softly stroked.

The moment he realized it was Mew's hand, he gave in to sleep. Gulf dozed off happily.

"...I feel awful."

Gulf felt like he was going to throw up, but he opened his eyes anyway. It was pitch black, and he didn't know where he was for a moment.

"...oh, I fell asleep."

Mew must have carried him to his bed. Gulf easily recognized the sound of someone sleeping next to him. Mew hadn't gone home. He stayed the night.

As he rose from the bed, the urge to puke got stronger. He made a dash for the restroom and threw up the entire contents of his stomach.

"...that was gross."

After he'd thrown up as much as possible, he felt a little better. Gulf turned on the dining room light. He had expected it to be a mess, but Mew had tidied everything. He'd even washed all the dishes.

"...thank you."

Gulf covered his face, feeling like he was going to cry.

'I don't want to cry, but...'

'I like Mew too much. Even something this simple makes me so happy.'

He was afraid that Mew would leave him if he knew.

Because of that, he was determined not to cry.

He opened the fridge and poured himself a glass of water. He drank it down in one gulp.

"I really am a lightweight."

Mew could drink so much without getting tipsy. It would put him in a good mood, and there were no hangover the next day. On the other hand, Gulf couldn't help but throw up after a can or two.

"Come to think of it, I have a horrible feeling that I said something wrong..."

He didn't really have many memories of the end of the night. All he remembered was the warmth of Mew's hands.

Looking at the clock, it was three in the morning. Gulf drank another glass of water and then yawned. "I should sleep a little more."

The alcohol hadn't totally left his system yet. If he got some more sleep, he would feel a little better.

When he got into bed, Mew rolled over in his sleep with a groan. Gulf panted a little kiss on his lips.

"Thank you. I love you." Gulf whispered then snuggled up against Mew.

As expected he fell asleep straight away. Feeling the warmth of Mew's body against his, Gulf closed his eyes.
