Jimin thought if he couldn't come true on his word to protect his daughter and Y/N, that must be his lack of responsibility and perhaps even God didn't want him to do so. Perhaps God had chosen him to fulfill the right of his friendship. Whatsoever the reason be, if he couldn't fulfill one duty, he would definitely fulfill the other. But that was mere a credulity of his. He was here planning for something and fate was japing at him for some other reason.

Those three months were not less than walking on thorns for him. Many bitter and unacceptable facts came into his knowledge, wounding him to his soul, but he sealed his lips for any objection.

The fact that Y/N had kept a governess for the take care of Mona hurt him as hell. His heart wished to go and ask her what was lacking in his love and care for her that she depended on random people rather than him? The fact that Seokjin and she decided to hold the wedding after the next exhibition of their new summer collection squeezed the blood from his heart...but kept himself aside, knowing that he had no right raise a finger of objection. And what for he would do it, for the one person he was fighting the world_ separated him from herself.

And now, after the destruction of all the storms in his life, he finally decided to let everything be as it was going on. Countless times he confronted Y/N and maintained his calmness like there wasn't anything happened between them. If she acted strange, he acted stranger_ totally ignoring what she felt. It was her decision anyway.

He delimited himself in the circle of his and Luna's friendship_ thinking he would give her the care and love she deserved...and perhaps that would be enough for her.

But he was wrong. No matter how much he tried to protect her from harms, she had meet what was written in her fate.

Today, he sat in his office, thinking about how many days had passed and he didn't go to check on her. Before he pick up his cellphone from the front table and dial her number, his phone itself started shouting. A thoughtful wrinkle appeared on his forehead as he found an unfamiliar number. An unknown fear filled in him. God knew why his heart started beating fast.

"Who's this?"
He asked as soon as he stuck the phone with his ear.

A stranger male voice rose on the speaker.

"Am I talking to Mister Park Jimin?"

"Yes," He answered promptly, "but who are you?"
His voice filled with suspicion and fear.

"I am doctor Wang, phoning you from Seoul National University Hospital to tell you that your close friend, doctor Luna Yu, has had a tragic car accident- "

Jimin didn't understand what more was said. He felt like the ground under his feet started shaking. He immediately stood up and rushed out before hanging up the call.

The way to the hospital was not more than thirty-five minutes but he felt every moment like running on thorns. How he wished he could get wings to stand beside his best friend that time.

As soon as he entered the hospital, he gathered the information about her from the receptionist. After getting to know that she was in the operation theatre, he made his way towards the direction. A female nurse came out of the operation theatre as he reached there. Stopping her in the way, Jimin asked impatiently.

"Sister...how is she?"

She squinted her eyes before questioning.

"You are- ?"

"Park Jimin, her best friend." He replied briefly before adding, "please tell me she's gonna be alright."

The female nurse exhaled a short sigh and answered.
