Third person POV

Somehow, Professor Snape saw them leaving the castle. He knew about Maria's condition, that's why he was being nicer and less strict to her. He was the one that brought her to the hospital wing the first time that she fainted in his class. He was also there when Dumbledore brought Mattheo to Hogwarts when he found him in the street homeless. He was the one that showed him around and told him the rules that he needed to follow if he didn't want to get in trouble.

Every time he saw Mattheo and Maria getting closer, he noticed how they both seemed happier with each other's company. At first, he didn't know if Mattheo was good for Maria, he was scared that he would hurt her and ruin more her life than it already is. He still have some doubts but he knows that they are meant for each other and they're happy. He knows that Mattheo s gonna get hurt when Maria is not gonna be here anymore. He had to tell him that for him not to get his hopes to high.

When he saw them both leaving the school, at first he wanted to go after them but with a second thought, he decided to let them go, they deserved to have some fun. Even if Severus could look emotionless, he still had a heart. He remembered when he use to hang out with the love of his life. He also remember how he felt when he found out that she had passed away. It was the worst day of his life and he knew that is how a certain Riddle is gonna feel. He didn't know where they were going but he could trust them...no?

That's when he found them trying to sneak in Hogwarts soaking wet that he knew he had to do something about it.

«Miss Prince, Mr. Riddle, can you explain why you missed most of your classes and you are soaking wet? » he spoke in a low voice that didn't fail to freak them out.

« We Uh...we were uh... » Maria tried to answered but she failed miserably.

« Detention for you two tonight after classes. » he could have give them detention for all week but he felt nice so he only gave them one night.

« Thank you Professor. » Mattheo nodded.

« Now get out of my sight » Severus told them and they didn't wait any second as they were already leaving.

Maria's had on of the best day of her entire life. She even forgot about her condition, it was like she could live forever. She didn't care about anything right now, all she thought about was the present and the boy that makes her heart beat. She knew that tomorrow she probably will be sick like a dog but she really couldn't give two shits.

As they were walking back to their dorm to get change from their cold clothes, she felt a weight in her chest she didn't know what was happening because it never happened before. She didn't want to ruin the moment so she didn't say anything to Mattheo, she didn't want to make him worry about something that is probably not that big of a deal. Maria kept walking without saying anything as the weight in her chess became bigger. She didn't know why but it made her really angry, as if she didn't have control of her body and all she wanted to do was screaming and destroying everything. Every little thing was making her mad and she couldn't think straight. That's when it hit.

It's the poison that is making her like this. That make sense because she was never the kind of girl that gets mad easily. She could feel her heart beat getting faster as she try to calm herself and stop thinking that she wanted to hurt someone or even herself. That feeling of wanting to hurt someone made her sick in the stomach. She never wanted to hurt anyone but right now that's all she could think about.

She kept quiet as she was walking next to Mattheo that was talking about random things that she didn't pay attention to. She just tried to make her anger go away. When she finally arrived to her dorm, she quickly made her way inside and locked the door. Mattheo was going to his dorm to change his clothes before going to detention.
