I had stayed in my cell and looked down at my lap, I didn't need to worry about Jae, thought I couldn't help myself, because I knew she could take care of herself. Clearly.
"Hello, Mr. Barnes. I've been sent by the United Nations to evaluate you. Do you mind if I sit?" The Doctor said sitting down after, I stayed quiet the whole time.
"Your first name is James? I'm not here to judge you. I just want to ask you a few questions. Do you know where you are, James?" The Doctor asked me, but I still didn't speak nor move.
"I can't help you if you don't talk to me, James." The Doctor said before I gave in and spoke up.
"My name is Bucky." I said, as far as I knew, I would prefer to be called that.
"Tell me, Bucky. You've seen a great deal, haven't you?" My eyes rose from my lap and looked at him.
"I don't wanna talk about it." I said shaking off my past, not from the 17's.
"You fear that if you open your mouth, the horrors will never stop. Don't worry. We only have to talk about one." The Doctor said just before the lights all turned off.
"What the hell is this?" I asked looking around seeing red and black before turning to the Doctor.
"Why don't we discuss your home? Not Romania. Certainly not Brooklyn, no. I mean your real home." The Doctor said before I noticed the red book with the star on the cover. My body tensed when I recognized it.
"Longing." I closed my eyes and shook my head, denying the words to get to my head. I tilt my head back into the chair to prevent myself from listening.
"Rusted."
"Seventeen." My metal band clenched feeling the little bit of the assassin in me starting to bubble up. I told him to stop again.
