✧✧✧The night was cold, no amount of blankets managed to warm the prince up. He stood from his bed, and threw a robe over his half naked body, then started to wander the empty halls with a candle in his hands, tiptoeing through so he didn't wake anybody.
He heard voices coming from downstairs, then the sound of a door closing. The prince followed the noise. He shivered a bit as his feet hit the cold flooring of the stairs.
The sound had come from the library, underneath the door he could see the light from a candle. He cracked the door, and peaked his eye through. Two people sat on the floor with, their legs crossed a candle melted into a tray in between them, only lighting up their faces for each other to see.
The girl opened up a book and began to quietly read. The boy across gave his undivided attention, he leaned in and rested his hands in his lap staring in awe at the girl. The sweetest smile appeared on his face as she so softly read to him.
As Wooyoung listened in closer to her voice, he realized it was Ryujin, and the platinum haired boy across from her, was none other than HongJoong.
Wooyoung smiled at the beautiful sight. He couldn't help but feel upset.
San. This reminded him of when him and San were together in the library. Just them together, calm, but thrilled cause of the fear of being caught. He wasn't even mad his bride was sneaking around with someone else, that'd be hypocritical considering his own situation. He sighed and turned, shutting the door slowly so it didn't make a loud noise and disturb the two. He made his way into the foyer where of course with his luck, he ran into San.
"San? What are you doing here?" Wooyoung whisper-yelled as he got closer, the light from his candle lighting up the other's face.
"I was helping Hongjoong get in, I was just leaving. Sorry, Sir."Wooyoung cringed at the title. It's like they were back at square one. Each of them participated in getting themselves back here, but if San knew how to deal with his feelings, maybe they wouldn't have been.
The prince huffed with a small eye roll. He didn't hate San, part of him was still questioning if he was in love or not, but he was definitely frustrated.
Just before he could get away, his forearm was yanked at. It startled him to say the least, the wind from his body whipping forward blew the candle out.
San's features still stuck out in the dark.
"I really have no other ways of putting this. I can't do anything extravagant, but I want to try." He pulled out a flower from his breast pocket, another to add to Wooyoung's collection.
"San, I appreciate you trying to make amends but it's obvious you aren't emotionally ready."
