"Wooyoung.. I'm pregnant."

A burning feeling rose in Wooyoung's throat, like he was going to throw up right then and there.
"You're... what?" He finally managed to speak.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen."

The prince shook his head, finally getting a grip on reality.
"No, don't you dare apologize." He reached out, pulling her into a comforting hug. Ryujin was unable to move, her arms hanging at her sides as she was embraced by the other.

"Is it Hongjoong's?" Wooyoung pulled back from the hug, but his hands remained on the crying girl's shoulders. She gave an ashamed nod.
"He's not going to be able to meet his own child." She sobbed. There wasn't much Wooyoung could say, or do but offer his comfort. He pulled her into another embrace and allowed her to cry into his shoulder.
"Why don't you go to sleep, we've had enough for one night." He kissed her head softly, and they left the room.

Ryujin nodded and made her way to her bedroom. Wooyoung could hear her soft crying the entire way there.

Woo made his way back into his own bedroom, the look of shock still plastered on his face. San laid shirtless on the bed with a familiar book in his hands.
"What's wrong, prince?" San closed the book and set it aside.
The prince didn't say a thing, he removed his shirt and replaced his pants with his pajama bottoms.

San watched in confusion as the prince shuffled around the room, doing various before-bed tasks. He didn't say anything, in fear of angering the prince even more than he already appeared to be. Wooyoung flicked off the dim lighting then joined San on the bed.

Immediately, The servant's arms wrapped tightly around the latter. Wooyoung sighed, enjoying the warmth of San's skin against his own.
"What's wrong, my love?" San repeated his still unanswered question.

Wooyoung still did not speak and turned away from the other.
"Don't do this." San lifted himself up and pushed Wooyoung down onto his back, pinning his arms above his head.
"Look here."
They made intense eye contact. San saw fire in Wooyoung's eyes, with faint sadness. "I know we are all sad about Hongjoong, but-"
"This isn't about what happened."
"Then tell me what it is!"

Wooyoung grew frustrated, he didn't want San to be angry with him but he wasn't sure if Ryujin was ready for him to know yet.
"You're impossible." San grumbled and let go of the boy, he rolled off to the edge of the bed, preparing to leave.
"Ryujin is pregnant." Wooyoung blurted so San wouldn't leave him.

San lost all emotion. He turned and sat down beside the other.
"It's Hongjoong's. But I presume I'm going to have to act as if it's mine."

It was true. Wooyoung would have to pretend the baby was his, to protect Ryujin and his reputation. It would cause a terrible commotion if it ever came out the princess was carrying anybody but her 'fiancé's' baby. A commotion they did not want to deal with, now, or ever.
