This is pretty much attorney in a hurry but Gary is in a Hurry and Jeremiah(yes I'm using that head canon) is not helping. Pure fluff.

"Come on Jer, I really have to get up" Gary said while trying to get out of bed.
He and Jeremiah have been living we each other for 3 years, but Gary still never expects him to be so clingy in the morning. Jeremiah always seemed to be in a hurry, but not in the morning.
"But I'm cold and you keep me warm" Jeremiah whined.
Gary almost climbed back into bed to keep his boyfriend warm, but then he remembered what he had to do today.
"How about this, tonight we can cuddle as long as you want, and since tomorrow is Saturday we can sleep in and keep cuddling all morning."
"That sounds nice, but I want that now," Jeremiah whined again, "but I will suffer today as long as you pick up Chinese food on your way home.
"Fine I can do that." Gary sighed, but silently triumphed that he won the battle.
He left the room and started going through his morning routine, thinking about Jeremiah.
He got dressed, he thought about the first time he saw Jeremiah wearing his sweatshirt. It was his Harvard Law sweatshirt. Gary thought Jer looked adorable in it.
He made himself breakfast, and he thought of that one time when he was making breakfast, silently singing along to his theatre playlist when Jeremiah came up behind him, hugging him, and they slowly danced in the kitchen listening to Legally Blonde.
He put on his scarf, thinking of the when Jeremiah gifted it to him a little over a year ago for christmas.
He thought about Jeremiah all the way out the door, and down the street, but where he would normally turn to go to work, he went the other way.
He was off today, but he had very important business to attend to, that Jeremiah can't know about for a while.
After a quick trip to Beanies, Gary walked right into the jewelry store across the street.
See the reason Gary was in a hurry today was because he had an appointment with a jeweler to find Jeremiah an engagement ring.
