Chapter 10: Drowning

"Where did he go?!" You panic as you try and make your way through all the students.

"Excuse me have you seen a small boy, usually has bandages on, with dark black hair?" You ask some guy in the hall.

"The boy who was also rudely shoving his way through people in the hallway? Yeah he just left out that door." The male says.

Ignoring his statement about being rude you shove past him making your way out the door.

'He's not answering his phone or my text messages...' You think to yourself.

Hooni where are you...?

You make your way down the street, sprinting as fast as your legs could take you.

"Hooni!" You call out.

Still no answer.

'Ugh, I'm so stupid....' You sit and bury your face in your knees.

It's been several hours since you first went looking for him yet no progress.

'At this point it's getting quite dark... should I try and go home? ...No, I have to keep looking for him.'

Sitting down you notice as it starts to sprinkle. 'A thunderstorm.' You say to yourself.

From the corner of your eye you see a small backpack as well as a familiar pair of shoes.

You gasped running towards the fence hoping to find the one you've been looking for.

Scanning the ground you see footsteps pointing toward the direction of the ocean... that's where you spot him.

"HOONI!"

Startled he turns towards you wide eyed not expecting anyone to follow him.

"...(Y/N)?" He whispers your name.

"What are you doing?!" You pant struggling for air.

"Y-You shouldn't be here-" He yells at you as he struggles to stand himself above the water.

"HOONI PLEASE!" You scream.

"No, I have to do this. I can't live like this anymore... what's the point of living if you have no one to live for?" He struggles as the waves grow stronger.

"PLEASE DON'T DO THIS-" You walk closer towards the water.

"Thank you, (Y/N)." He takes a step back.

"For making my life a little better."

...And that's when it happened.

Regretting his decision he then gets engulfed by the ocean.

"HOONI NO!" You scream running as fast as your legs could take you despite being overly exhausted. It feels as if though your legs could fall of at any moment.

You panic as your clothes get soaked trying to find him. Tears roll down your cheeks as the thunderstorm gets worse by the minute.

"No, no, no, no..." You repeat as your sobbing continues.

"Don't leave me please!" You yell as you struggle to breathe for air.

The ocean waves then begin to be too much for you to handle.

Searching for him yet no luck your limbs then begin to slowly give up on you.

'No, please... it can't end like this...' You cry.

'I just wanted you to be happy...'
