~Time skip to the end of September~
"Chief Yagami, I am delighted to inform you that your son is more than likely not Kira." He smiled a huge smile. "While your son has been held in confinement, the killings have continued. Given that he was under 24 hour supervision, it would make it almost impossible to kill anyone without us seeing. So, your son's suspicion rates have decreased." I could see tears welling up in his eyes. "Thank you, Ryuzaki. I'm so glad to hear that. When will he be let out?" I quickly answered his question. "In the next few days. Maybe tomorrow. But nothing has been confirmed." He smiled yet again. "Thank you, Ryuzaki."
"Light, can you hear me?" He looked up towards the security camera. "Yes. What is it?" I took a deep breath. "The killings have continued while you were in confinement. Due to this, your suspicion rates have been lowered and you will be let out soon. Probably tomorrow, but no guarantees." I could see him smile, and it made me smile as well. "Thank you Ryuzaki. I'm sure you probably have no leading suspects now though, do you?" I have to admit, hearing that hurt a bit. Light was my only suspect. Now we're back to square one. "I'm not so sure Light. I think you were my only suspect. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm slightly disappointed you aren't Kira. It makes so much sense why you would be. But, I guess not." He nodded. "Well, just one more night. It has just been confirmed that you will be let out tomorrow." I could see him start to cry. "Thank you."
