L POV

Light has been acting very strange. It may have been the sex, or it may have been that I told him my real name. Either way, it was bothering me. But I knew he probably couldn't help it, so I never said anything. "Light, are you ready to work?" He simply nodded. "Are you ok?" He nodded again with no words. "Ok then.." I didn't sound very convinced. Typing quickly filled the room as we documented all the new deaths.

"Ryuzaki, when is your birthday?"

I was very caught off by the sudden question. "Oh, it's October 31st. Why do you ask?" He shrugged. "I figured since we're friends, or maybe more, that I should know your birthday. Mine is February 28th." He smiled. "Good to know." I continued working, and I could see Light smirking slightly. But I didn't question it.

Light POV

This is almost too good to be true. It worked out perfectly. I was so angry that L took me into confinement, and was thinking of punishments for him. Obviously I was going to kill him, but I wanted to make it special. Just writing his name in the Death Note and watching him die wasn't enough. I wanted something entertaining.

My plan was simple. On October 30th, the day before his birthday, I will write his name in the Death Note and the time of death, 3:00pm, as well as the date of death, Oct. 31st. I will also throw a surprise party for him on his birthday. However, I won't tell the rest of the task force about the party. I will force them to take the day off, so it'll just be me and L. We will have a usual party, and I will sing him happy birthday. I will have him blow out the candles at 2:57 pm. 3 minutes later he will fall to the ground, having a heart attack. It was perfect, and an amazing punishment if you ask me.
