~time skip to L's birthday because I'm too lazy to write more~
Light POV
Today is the day. L will die.
We stood in the open room, just talking. "Light, you really didn't have to do all this. I never even celebrate my birthday anyways." I tried to look cheerful. "But Ryuzaki, I wanted to be nice. Plus we're together so it only made sense!" He just smiled again. "Yeah yeah. Can we eat cake now?" I shook my head. "I have a very specific time for everything. We have to sing happy birthday first anyways, silly!" He laughed. "Ok, so when do we start singing?" I looked down at my watch. "In 30 seconds." The watch read 2:55:30. The song will last about a minute, which means he will be blowing candles out at 2:57, like I planned. Then, three minutes later he will die. I lost track of time and seen the clock read 2:56. I started singing.
"Happy birthday to you~
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday Ryuzaki,
Happy birthday to you."
I made sure to go extra slow so it took exactly one minute to sing. He blew out the candles and I checked my watch.
2:57:00
Perfect.
