Chapter 5
(Liam's P.O.V.)
April must've had a guilty conscience when she had pulled out that gun, and made Harry cry because right now, she was nice. And funny, as well as sweet. Like Niall said, the grinch does have a heart. Underneath that fierce, scary, tough layer, there was a softie inside. I kind of didn't want to leave April yet, when Zayn called out through the door to go.
"To infinity and beyond!" I yelled out as I ran out the door. I have no clue why I just yelled that. I haven't felt this giddy in a long time. When I was downstairs, Zayn was looking at me funny. "What?" I asked, frowning.
"Frowning is unhealthy for your face you know." A voice piped up from beside me. I jumped startled. It was April, whoa she's sneaky.
"C'mon Liam, we gotta go, Harry's really getting out of control." Zayn hissed, motioning me forward.
"Nice- talking to you." April muttered, nudging me forward.
------------------------------------------
I was staying at Harry's flat along with the other lads for a couple of days. Harry was a wreck, and it just wouldn't seem right for him to be on his own. So I convinced the others to pack a bag of clothes and stay with Harry for a bit.
I was sitting on the sofa fiddling with the controls on the remote by myself. Louis, Niall, and Zayn went out for a bit, and Harry was upstairs crying his eyes out. Or at least that's what I thought he was doing. Harry had mustered some of his will to come down and glare at me while standing in front of the telly.
"So. You and April?" He growled at me, glaring at me with thin slits in his swollen eyes. What the fuck?
"Um, there is no me and April." I replied bluntly. "Now can you please move so that I can watch my program?" He snorted.
"We all could hear the two of you upstairs. That didn't sound like nothing." He growled.
"First of all, you're sounding a bit possessive even for you. Second, April doesn't love you anymore, and the two of you aren't together. Third, what happens between April and I is private. You have no right to snoop around." I spoke, plainly making my point clear.
"But-"
"No buts Harry! You need to move on!" I snapped. He bit his lip to hold back a sob.
"I just can't. I loved her. I love her. I can't just move on." Harry croaked. The poor curly haired boy seemed so disheveled.
"I'll call her to come over. Will that be alright?" I asked. Before Harry could answer, a knocking on the door cut us off. I went and got the door, prying it open to see April. "April?" I asked surprised. How did she know Harry's address? I ushered her inside.
"April?" Harry croaked hoarsely. April's lips were pressed together in a firm line. She dug around in her pocket and tossed me my phone and wallet.
"You left your other pair of pants at my flat. I've still yet to clean them, but I thought I would return you your phone and wallet." She spoke finally, as I pocketed both of my possessions.
"You can just bring my pants over, I can clean them myself." I said, staring at her. She scowled.
"It's the least I can do. Just let me." She muttered darkly. I sighed.
"How did you know where I was and where Harry lived?" I questioned. She chuckled humorlessly. What was up with her right now? Just yesterday afternoon, she was all bright and chipper. Now she looks like the devil paid her a trip.
