Chapter 7
Title: You're My Hero
Shouto is always getting nightmares, but this time they bring him somewhere new and he gets to see a person that he should've never gotten to see again.
I got this story idea from Steven Universe-Storm in the Room(has nothing to do with the actual show tho)
Trigger warnings: suicide mentions, nightmares

He hated going to sleep as much as being awake for training. It gave him the same feeling of fear, the same dread as being kicked and punched and thrown around the training room, the same tiredness once the trainings had ended, the feeling of emptiness and hopelessness, all because of the nightmares that would come to haunt him the moment he closed his eyes.

Whether they were transporting him to the training room, the kitchen when he had overheard his mother and the whistling of a kettle, or even just overlooking the backyard in the Todoroki mansion as his siblings were playing, they gave him the same physical and emotional pain that any training with Endeavor did in real life......or as much as that night when a fight had broken out at the dinner table and Endeavor told him the news about his mother.

"I'm so sorry Sho......I-...it's not your fault. P-please don't blame yourself. I'm sure she didn't do it because of you. I-I'm so sorry"

"....."

The night came quickly over the UA High Dormitories just as the 1st year students had come back from classes and trainings that happened well into the evening. All the students were beyond exhausted and were dragging themselves to their beds or to the couch with their friends. They couldn't deny that the days in the classroom and training grounds were getting longer and longer, so they spared no free time in trying to get plenty of rest for the following days.

Shouto knew that there was no point in trying to fight his closing eyes, but even if his physical state was putting him to sleep, his mind was racing with the possibilities of what his imagination would bring to his dreams. Even when he woke up actually refreshed from no nightmare coming to haunt him the previous night, he deemed it as a 'once in a blue moon luck' or he would blame it on a good event that raised his spirits up for that specific day that he couldn't get every night.

Eventually he did fall asleep, quite early surprisingly, awaiting whatever would come to ruin his night.

"Where's mom, Fuyumi?"

"Why won't you let me visit her?"

"Did she get sick again?"

Fuyumi could only look at her younger brother with sadness in her eyes, tears brimming to the point of spilling out. She had to be strong for him. She couldn't let him find out, atleast not yet. He had just come out of training. He was just 10.

'How could I possibly tell him?'

Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!

Shouto woke up in confusion from the sudden sound that had woken him up. He looked over to the clock hanging over the wall that read 12:00A.M.. It was both late and early. 'Why would anyone be needing him right now?' and 'I wonder how long I had already managed to sleep?', he thought. The person behind the door began knocking again to which Shouto's mind snapped out of his line of thinking.
