4. Torture Scars Pt.1

Chapter 4.1: Torture Scars
-After going out on a mission with Endeavor, Shouto gets kidnapped by Shigaraki and faces torture. After 1 month, he gets rescued.

As the students of the Hero Course class 1A got into more and more encounters with villains, from the infamous USJ attack to the hidden away Stain fight, it was undeniable that these students had become a target to villains after the sports festival.
After the demands from the Hero society and even the parents of these aspiring heroes, UA had been asked, no, forced, to take these teenagers to even more extreme levels of training, which included sending them to hero agencies to experience real life and death situations accompanied by top heroes in Japan.

The students were allowed to choose the hero agencies they would pick, the teachers trusting that they would pick the one that would suit them the best, as well as improving their whatever weaknesses they had. So it was expected for Shouto to choose the well-known hero agency that belonged to the Number 2 Hero and his father Endeavor.

It was finally the week that the heroes in training were sent to their chosen agencies, and Endeavor style, Shouto was immediately put to work with none other than his father. Though there were still many things that made him despise his father beyond normal words that could be spoken, he decided to put those at the back of his mind for now, choosing to focus on his main objective, raising his firepower to higher levels than he could imagine he was capable of.

"We were sent to investigate on a case concerning the nomus nearby our hometown, alongside other pro heroes. We'll be splitting up and monitoring a certain area for any inconsistencies. Don't make a fool of yourself Shouto. The moment you see something strange, don't let it fly over your head. Call a nearby hero and examine it immediately, understood?" Said Endeavor in a fast paced, serious tone, determined to waste no time whatsoever on talking.

"Yes sir"

"Good"

With that, the father and son departed their own ways, Endeavor turning right from where they had been walking while Shouto continued walking the straight path that they had been walking on. At first glance, no passerbys were walking around, almost like a twilight zone. After more inspection though, there were pro heroes and sidekicks seen at every sidewalk, corner, and block.

Shouto was sure that this was no simple investigation and that whatever the League of Villains were planning with the Nomus, it was no light threat. He got to work immediately and inspected every house, road, and dark sidelines carefully from the sidewalk he was on, not wanting to miss anything from the area he was assigned to.

As the sun slowly set below the heroes and the night sky slowly started greeting them, the darkness had become more prominent, even with all the street lights and house lights that had been turned on. One thing that also became more prominent, was the eeriness of the area, as if fireflies had turned their faint lights into watching eyes from everywhere you looked at in the dark that had swallowed the neighborhood.

Even Shouto became aware of this difference in atmosphere coming from his hometown. Though at this point his eyes were growing heavier by the minute from his search, he didn't dare close his eyes for more than a second, knowing that anything could happen in the blink of an eye. He turned to another corner, which seemed to have separated itself from the rest of the streets and made itself darker, eerier, scarier, and more suspicious, though Shouto couldn't pinpoint why.
