Cast: Engineer, Gnome, Mr. Cheese, Gentleman

Plot: Love's in the air! There's a double date going down in the City Resort, but can Engineer and Mr Cheese keep it together long enough that it can be called successful?

The City Resort was probably the most popular area of Kawawii Island, and there was no denying it. It was the first resort you could access after the Marine Resort, and the neon lights and fast paced activities were extremely popular. Needless to say, it was a great date spot. Engineer would know, they were using the resort as a date spot for Gnome and himself to enjoy. They hadn't changed out from their spacesuits, because the locals seemed to enjoy the style they gave off.

"Ok babe, I lined up the perfect schedule for tonight. We start with taking the Trolley Car to this Kawawii Gardens place for Bucket Ball, then we go and try the Wheel Slider before finishing the evening with Hangliding. Sound good?"

After hearing her partner's idea, Gnome's face lit up with enthusiasm and she nodded eagerly. The two immediately locked hands before walking to the direction of the station they had to get to. While walking through the La Vacanza Shopping Mall, the familiar sounds of almost childish laughter filled the air, and it wasn't long before two familiar faces showed up. A surprisingly spotless Mr. Cheese and a messy-as-heck Gentleman. Upon noticing the other couple, the orange crewmate eagerly waved to them.

"Oh hi you guys! Me and Genty were just doing some Pie Throwing in that tent, which explains why he's such a creamy mess. After this we plan on going to try the Halfpipe as well as that Grind Master thing! A whole night of thrills!"

"Y-yes, that's all correct. I'm just relieved that they let me take my top hats off. Who knows how battered they could have gotten. So, where are you two headed?'

"Oh, this Kawawii Gardens place! Why'd you ask?"

"Hmm....now I ask, it appears I've forgotten. Anyways, me and this goon should be off now. See you!"

While walking away from the pair, Engineer felt an uneasiness strike him. Like something he hadn't calculated was approaching, and he didn't like it. Although he tried to work out what it was, it didn't save him as he tripped and fell into the nearby fountain. It made his partner laugh a bit, but she quickly helped him out.

"Ugh....I wish I saw that coming. Now my goggles are all fogged up."

"Oh, don't worry about that Engy! I'll clean them up for you while we're on that trolley car thingy."

Giving in surprisingly easily, the purple clad  male sighed. He always felt a bit lost without those goggles, but at the same time it was reassuring that his girlfriend had this covered for now. Besides, it wouldn't be that bad without them. Right?

(Meanwhile...)

"G-Genty, I don't think I can do this anymore!"

"Oh sure you can, it's just one little flip! Can't you try it for me?"

The scene unfolding at the Track and Soul Skate Park was a confusing one. Mr. Cheese had signed up to try the Halfpipe, but now he was just too terrified to do the one thing that would get him the stamp he wanted: either a front or backflip. He was only used to doing spins. He had even lied to Gentleman that he could do it after seeing him do it with relative ease.

"R-really Genty, I want this stamp but it's so freaking hard! I'm gonna fall, aren't I?!"

"Well, there's a probability you might, but think of all the messed I've gotten you out of before! Surely you won't let one tiny slip affect your night, will you?"

"A-ah. ..you're right. I can do this. I CAN do this!"

Holding his cheese patterned helmet tight, the orange clad male took a quick breath before applying weight to the front end of his skateboard. It was now or never as his associate said.

(Meanwhile, once again....)

It turns out things were bad without Engineer having his goggles. He barely succeeded in Bucket Ball, literally landing on 600 points exactly, and the Hangliding was closing early so they barely even got it done. Now the final activity of the night was in full swing, being the Wheel Slider. Both of the couple had opted to use Inline Skates, and they were currently at the top of the attraction. There was awkward silence until Gnome spoke up.

"This is what we've been waiting for, Engy. Do you think you can manage? "

"I have no choice but to. Besides, this place will surely have medical care around."

Before either of them could continue, the gate opened up and the two were sent hurtling down the Slider. Despite his initial worries, Engineer actually got used to it in a few moments and was having a blast. He and his green clad girlfriend enjoyed the thrill of the famous attraction, even with Gnome going ahead and pulling off the jump to the finish with ease.

But when it came to his turn to perform the jump, all the uneasiness that Engineer had felt was back, burning like a reactor meltdown. He knew he would be fine if he happened to fall, but he wanted to impress his girlfriend no matter what. So he buckled down and prepared for this.

And at the exact same time, a perfect frontflip was performed and a successful jump were made.

Engineer landed safely on the landing pad, falling into its squishiness while Gnome squealed excitedly.  "Oh my god, that was incredible! You should really skate more often!"

"Well, you ARE my girlfriend babe. I just had to do what I had to do." He replied, taking his goggles back and fastening them on and feeling fine again, proud as normal. "I think there was a hotdog truck near the skate park, let's head there to unwind."

And back at the Halfpipe, both of the duo were in shock. Mr. Cheese had just pulled off his flip, with little to no problems. His skateboard carried him down to the ground again, and he was stood there in shock for a good few minutes before perking up.

"Did you see that? I actually managed it, I seriously can't brie-lieve it! But seriously, you were watching right Genty?" He asked childishly, getting his stamp while awaiting his partners' response.

"I saw it, I saw it. Pretty good, if I do say so myself." Gentleman replied, already grabbing the hand of the overly proud boy before him, and starting to lead him to a nearby food truck, which just so happened to be the whereabouts of Gnome and Engineer. The four of them sat in awkward silence for a few minutes.

"Soo...how did the night go? I actually did a frontflip!"

Engineer looked away for a moment, reliving his embarrassment before replying.

"It, uh...it went great. Juust great."
