"From Jamai Babu To Anirudh Babu" "From Sumati Maa To Sumati Ji"
Flashback:- "Maa", Bondita screamed as she ran towards her mother and hugged her tightly. "Bondita", Sumati placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Maine tujhe bohot yaad kiya Maa. Teri bohot yaad aati thi.", Bondita cried. Anirudh came forward and to touch her feet but she moved away. "Aree jamai babu yeh aap kya kar rahe hai? Yeh galat hai." "Hume toh bado ka per chukar aashirwad lena chahiye. Toh yeh galat kaise hua?", asked Anirudh, a little surprised. "Maa vidhwa hai na. Isiliye sab darte hai unpe vidhwa ki chaya padne se.", said Bondita with a frown. Anirudh looked at Sumati who was hiding her face behind her white pallu. "Nahi Bondita. Isme kuch galat nahi hai. Tumhari Maa ke per chune mein mujhe koi darr nahi hai.", saying this he bent down to touch her feet. She hesitantly kept her hand on his head and blessed him. "Achha Jamai Babu, aapke parivaar mein koun koun hai?", asked Sumati. "Mere parivaar mein mere Kaka hai jo riti riwazo ko bohot maante hai aur mujhse bohot pyaar karte hai. Mere Baba hai jo bahar se bohot sakt hai par mujhe pata hai ki mujhse bohot pyaar karte hai. Mere do bhai hai jo din bhar mujhe chidhaate rehte hai par apne Dada ki har baat maante hai. Ab Bondita bhi mere parivaar ka hissa ban gayi hai. Aur Maa....", he stopped in the middle. His eyes brimmed with tears. " "Aapki Maa?", she asked. "Meri Maa mujhe bachpan mein hi chod kar chali gayi. Jabse Maa chali gayi, Baba bilkul ek patthar jaise bann gaye hai. Mere Kaka ne mujhe ek Maa ki tarah pyaar kiya. Meri har khwaish, har maang puri kari unhone." Tears gushed down his cheeks Sumati Maa couldn't see her Jamai Babu like this. "Jamai Babu main aapke Maa ka sthan toh nahi le sakti par ek Maa ka pyaar toh de sakti hu na. Aap bhi toh mere liye Bondita jaise hi hai na. Bondita meri beti hai par aap mere liye mere bete jaise hai.", said Sumati. Anirudh went and hugged her like a small child. "Maa", he cried in her embrace as she caressed his hair gently.

Anirudh chuckled as he recalled how his little Bondita used to be jealous when Anirudh used to intentionally go and hug Sumati Maa. She would also go and hug her mother tightly, slightly pushing Anirudh but Anirudh in order to tease her more would hug her again. Bondita, seeing this would blow up her cheeks to which Anirudh would chuckle and hug her and Maa tightly. The trio would share a hug full of love and affection. Today how much he is missing these moments. He wished to back and cherish those moments but alas! He had lost everything -- his companion with whom he used to share everything, his friend, his wife, his family and His Maa. The only he could do was to cry, let out and regret for what he had done. "Anirudh jaldi bahar aa", he heard Kaka calling him but he was least interested in listening to him but then he heard something which bought a smile on his face. A smile full of hope and expectations. He ran out and saw Sumati standing at the main door. "Maa", he uttered happily and went near her to touch her feet. But she moved back for which Anirudh felt bad but he ignored it. "Maa aap kaisi hai? Kitne din ho gaye aapse mile hue. Aaj aap yaha aayi mujhse milne, mujhe bohot khushi hui Maa." "Nahi. Main aapse milne aayi hu. Main yaha kuch wapas karne aayi hu.", said Sumati with a stern face. "Kya Maa?", asked a confused Anirudh. "Yeh lijiye yeh aam ke bagano ke kagaz hai. Aapne mujhe aapke aam ke bagano ka khayal rakhne ki zimmedari di thi na. Aaj main chahti hu ki aap mujhe iss zimmedari se mukt kare.", she said handing over the papers to Anirudh who was shocked by her words. "Maa yeh aap kya kehe rahe hai?" "Sahi kehe rahi hu Jam...Anirudh Babu. He got the second shock when he heard "Anirudh Babu". The person who used to call Jamai Babu lovingly had called him by his name today. He was cursing himself. "Ab main yeh zimmedari nahi lena chahti.", she completed. "Maa..." "Maa nahi Sumati Ji. Sumati Ji bulaiye mujhe aap. Main aapki Maa nahi hu.", said Sumati as she turned around and wiped off her tears. "Aap mujhe Maa pukarne ka haq kho chuke hai Anirudh Babu.", said Sumati a bit loudly. "Ab toh aapke aur Bondita ke beech koi rishta raha hi nahi nahi hai. Toh ab aapke aur mere saare rishte bhi toh khatam ho gaye hai. Isiliye ab main woh kuch bhi nahi rakhna chahti jo aapne mujhe diya ho.", said Sumati trying her level best to control her emotions. "Maa mujhe maaf kar dijiye. Main nahi janta tha ki mere iss ek galat faisle ki wajah se meri Bondita mujhse dur ho jayegi. Pehele hi Bondita ne mujhe apni saza de di hai par ab aap mere saath aisa mat kariye Maa. Aap toh mera saath mat chodiye Maa. Aapne hi kaha tha na ki main aapke bete jaisa hu toh aap ek baar bhi apne bete ki baat nahi sunenge. Mujhe pata hai maine jo kiya woh galat kiya. Mujhe Bondita ka dil nahi todna chahiye tha par Maa main majboor tha. Maine jo bhi kiya uske bhale ke liye kiya.
"Bas kijiye. Meri beti ka dil todke aapne kya bhala kiya. Aree kya galti thi uski. Yehi ki usne aapko apna sansaar mana, aap par bharosa kiya. Uss bichari ko kya pata tha ki jis insaan ne uske saath dene ka vaada kiya aaj ussi insaan ne uska haath chod diya. Usne aapko apna bhagwaan mana tha par aapne usse uski saari khushiyan cheen li. Mujhe aapse se umeed nahi thi Anirudh babu" "Aapne meri beti ke liye jo kuch bhi kiya uske liye main aapka shukraguzar rahungi. Aapne meri beti ko marne se bachaya, usse padhaya likhaya aur samman se jeena sikhaya. Aapka bohot bohot shukriya iss sab ke liye. Par aapne jo kuch bhi uske liye main aapko kabhi maaf nahi kar paungi Anirudh babu.", she completed her words and turned back to leave when she stopped and said, "Aapko shaadishuda zindagi ki dher saari shubhkaamnaye Anirudh Babu.", saying this she left the mansion crying silently for hurting her son like jamai babu so much but it was nothing compared to what her daughter was going through. On the other hand, Anirudh after hearing the last sentence, recalled how Bondita had uttered the same words before leaving the mansion.
"Mubarak ho Dada. Aaj aapki ichha puri ho gayi. Bondita boudi chali gayi hum sab ko chodkar. Saare rishte todkar chali gayi woh. Ab aap apni patni ke saath sukoon se apna jeevan bita sakte hai. Ab toh koi badha nahi hai na. Aaj toh aapke jeevan ki sabse khushi ka din hoga na. Jashn manaiye. Khushiyan bantiye. Pata nahi boudi kaha hongi, kis haalat mein hongi par aapko isse kya. Waise bhi aapko kya hi fark padta hai. Boudi jeeye yaa mare..." "Bas karo Som", Anirudh's voice echoed in the mansion. "Bas karo bohot ho gaya." Som's words indeed pierced his heart. Hearing him, he started feeling guilty. "Bohot fark padta hai. Meri wajah se Bondita ko itna dukh, dard sehna pada. Meri wajah se Bondita unse dur ho gayi jin logo se woh sabse zyaada pyaar karti thi. Meri galti ki saza Bondita aur mere saare ghar waale bhugad rahe hai" He ran into the study and closed the door. He closed his eyes and started thinking about his "zimmedari" and his Maa....oh sorry "Sumati Ji". He sat down on the floor leaning towards the wall and imagining his Bondita hugging his Maa tightly and telling her how much she missed her.
