"Goodbye Tine"

Tine's POV

Its been a week since Sarawat told me he needed space. No its been 8.5 days since he told me he needed space, and he hasn't come back yet. Everyday I come home hoping he would be right there waiting for me, but he isn't anywhere to be found.

So, I have been spending my time exactly like Old Tine probably lived his boring life — working on a way to reach the document storage room so this plan can end and studying up on my old cases all night so I can pretend like I didn't lose a part of my memory.

Its almost funny that when I woke up after the accident, I cursed old Tine and decided that I didn't want my life to be nothing like him. But somehow, I had ended up exactly where Old Tine was — Proving yet again, that I was him and he was me.

I went to bed every night hoping I would dream of Sarawat again, hoping I would remember at least one good memory of him. But instead, I dreamed of boring office cases and the last person I wanted to see — Pear.

I was sitting in a restaurant surrounded by people in suits, waiting for someone to arrive for dinner. And then someone I didn't expect there, came up and sat down in the seat in front of me.

"Hey Tine"'

"Why are you here Pear"

"Teepakorn, what's a boy like you doing in a place like this?"

"I am here for a client meeting but I think you already knew that Pear because you would never show up to a boring restaurant like this where people only have business meetings. So really, why are you here wasting my time? Whatever legal help you need, I am sure the other lawyers at the firm can help you just fine." I shook my head in disapproval.

Pear was now smiling. "Always the smart one. You know Teepakorn, every lawyer at the law firm has tried to flirt with me at least once just to get closer to my father. Well, every lawyer, except for you, and it has kind of hurt my ego, you know."

"Well, in case I wasn't clear before Pear, you aren't really my type."

"And that's exactly why I like you, Teepakorn and that's also why I have a proposition for you."

"Whatever it is, I am not interest Pear."

"Not even if it helps get close to my Uncle Paithoon? "I looked up in an instance which made Pear smirk. "I got your attention, didn't I Teepakorn? I might come across as a dumb rich kid to you Tine, but I can see through people very well and I can see through you too. I know what you want."

"Really now? What do you think I want, Pear." I put my hands on the table with my defense mode fully activated.

"You want name, you want recognition. I can see your ambition shining brightly everywhere you go, Teepakorn. Its so obvious you want to climb up the ladder in the law firm as high as possible. You have got my father all impressed with your charm, but there is only one person obstructing you — My uncle. He doesn't trust new people, as you know. The only thing that matters to him is loyalty, and that, you can only show with time."

"I am doing just fine on my own Pear. I don't need your help."

"What if I told you, I could help you get my uncle's trust and become a junior partner in less than a month?"
