"I want to be feared."
"What?! Impossible! Where did it-"
The sound of constant footsteps is heard, indicating that someone is running.
"She went that way!"
"I want to be powerful."
"Someone, call the police!"
"How'd she do that?"
The first thing that is shown is Cinder in an alley way with her usual smirk, but she has shorter hair.
"How did you do that?" Cinder asks the person in front of her.
Cinder is facing Emerald, but Emerald seems to have her hair put in a ponytail instead of her usual style and her outfit seems a lot more ruggedy. Emerald glares at Cinder while looking around worrily. Emerald reaches for her revolvers.
"Don't.*Emerald stops* Unless, of course, you want them to hear you." Cinder says as the footsteps of three different people are heard faintly.
"Where'd she go?"
Emerald lets go of the grips of her revolvers.
"What do you want?" Emerald demands from Cinder.
"I've already told you. And I don't like repeating myself." Cinder says.
"I didn't do anything! Just leave me alone!" Emerald says, but Cinder keeps her confident smirk.
"I know my fair share of liars and thieves. Stealing is an art of patience, coordination, and in a pinch, sleight of hand. But you didn't steal the ring in your pocket.*Emerald quickly and sporadically checks her pockets* You took right before the jewellers's eyes. And he smiled." Cinder says, making Emerald be even more on her guard.
"Who are you?" Emerald asks Cinder.
"You will question everything you know."
A monstrous growling is heard from the back while Cinder's echoey voice is heard.
"This is impossible."
Emerald's voice is heard as something vanishes like a puff of smoke, stopping the growling entirely.
"I wish to take on an apprentice."
Cinder's voice is heard as a man is heard being there as well.
"He lives in the mountains with his son."
"Follow me, and you'll never be hungry again."
"Thank you..."
The darkness opens up once again as a panting, bloody Mercury is seen looking away from a burning house up the hill behind him.
"What are you lookin at?!" Mercury asks the people in front of him who turn out to be Cinder and Emerald.
Mercury struggles to stay standing as his knees show to have bloody bandages wrapped around them.
