The School Lock-In

*The next day with Adrien, arriving at school*
Adrien: *Gets out of the car, shuts the door* Thanks, Gorilla.
Gorilla: *Nods a little and drives away*
Nino & Alya: *Waiting outside* Hey, Adrien!
Adrien: Hey, guys!
Nino: Did you hear about Mr Damocles?
Adrien: No, what about him?
Alya: He wants everyone together to make an announcement.
Nino: I wonder if he's retiring.
Alya: I hope not.
Adrien: *Smiles* Do you guys mind if I wait on Marinette, today?
Alya: *Smirks* Of course. *Taps Nino's shoulder* Come on, Nino. We'll wait for them inside. *She grabs his hand and they walk in*
Adrien: *Smiles at them and turns around, waits for Marinette*
Plagg: *Pops his head out from Adrien's jacket* Waiting for Marinette, huh?
Adrien: Yeah. I just wanna see her and make her feel okay. I know she must be a bit heart broken at the moment.

*In Marinette's bedroom*
Marinette: *Staring at her computer wallpaper of Adrien, sighs happily* ahhh, Adrien... *She looks at the time in the corner* OH NO, IM GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!
Tikki & Trixx: *Playing catch with a rubber*
Marinette: *Opens Trixx's miracle box door* Sorry, Trixx, play time's over. I'll see you after school.
Trixx: Aww, ok. *Flies inside*
Marinette: *Hides the miracle box*
Tikki: *Flies inside Marinette's bag*
Marinette: *Grabs her school bag and leaves*
—Downstairs—
Sabine: *Serving a customer*
Marinette: *Runs past*
Sabine: *Notices her* Marinette?! I thought you already left?
Marinette: Sorry, Mom. I got sidetracked. It won't happen again. I'll see you later. *Kisses her cheek and runs out*
—Outside—
Marinette: *Runs across the road and trips over* AHHHHH! *The bag opens* My stuff! *She grabs her stuff the put in her bag*
Adrien: *Looking around and sees Marinette on the road*
*A car starts to drive up*
Adrien: *Eyes widen, starts running towards her* MARINETTE, WATCH OUT!
Marinette: *Stands up, holding her bag* Adrien?
Adrien: *Dives and grabs her, falling over onto the path*
*The car drives past*
Adrien: *Sighs of relief, looks down at her* Phew, that was close. Are you okay?
Marinette: *Blushing like mad, nodding* Mm-hm...
Adrien: *Stands up and helps her up*
Marinette: Th..thank you...
Adrien: *Smiles* No problem...
*They share an awkward silence for a few seconds and then the school bell rings*
Adrien: We better get inside.
Marinette: ye..yeah...

*10 minutes later, everyone is sitting down on chairs as Mr Damocles makes his announcement*
Mr Damocles: Thank you for coming on such short notice. I have a few things I would like to say. First of all, these projects for the festival tomorrow are looking very good. But I know some of you haven't finished yet. So....
Chloe: You're going to delay the festival?
Mr Damocles: Uh, no, Chloe. I am going to organise a school lock-in.
*Everyone whispers to themselves*
Alya: *Raises her hand* Mr Damocles, what is a school lock-in?
Mr Damocles: It's where all students will have to stay overnight to complete their projects. We will be providing food and sleeping bags. Consider this a sleepover but with work.
*Everyone continues to whisper to themselves*
Mr Damocles: The school lock-in will start in an hour after I have asked permission from all your parents so my suggestion is if you want that sleep-over you might as well try and finish your projects today. Don't worry if you cannot finish your projects by tomorrow. We thought this could be a fun activity we could all do before the festival.
Alix: Can we at least go home and grab stuff that we need?
Mr Damocles: I guess I don't see any harm of bringing some stuff from home but make it quick. Everyone meet back here in an hour.
Marinette: *Opens her bag to talk to Tikki* Do you think I should grab the miracle box and hide it in my locker?
Tikki: As long as no one sees you, Marinette.
Marinette: *Nods and closes her bag, walking out*
Alya: Hey, gurl! What you getting?
Marinette: Uhh, just some stuff I can't sleep without. I'll see you in an hour! *Runs out and bumps into Luka*
Luka: *Looks at her* Hey, Marinette.
Marinette: Luka... hey...
Adrien: *Walking out, sees them*
Marinette: Um... what are you doing here?
Luka: Well... *Gets a message on his phone, looks at it* Wow.. um.. I guess I'm here to look after Juleka for the school lock-in.
Marinette: You mean, you're gonna be inside.... with me... I mean us... all night?
Luka: According to mother I am.
Juleka: *Walks up* Hey...
Luka: I'll speak to you later, Marinette. Me and Juleka are going to grab some stuff.
Marinette: See you later.
*She waves as they cycle away*
Adrien: *Looks at her, smiling a little*
