~At the hospital, a couple of hours later~
Marinette: *Asleep in her hospital bed*
Sabine & Tom: *Outside with the doctor*
Alya & Nino: *Sitting beside her bed*
Alya: At least one of us is getting some sleep.
Nino: *On his phone* Have you seen the news at the moment?
Alya: Yep, it's all about Adrien and Marinette. How could Hawk Moth do this?! No, in fact, HOW COULD GABRIEL DO THIS TO HIS OWN SON?!
Nino: Shhh. You'll wake up Marinette.
Alya: Sorry.
Sabine & Tom: *Walk in*
Alya: What did the doctor say?
Sabine: She's going to be fine. She'll stay here overnight for observation but she'll be ok.
Tom: I think you guys should go home and get some rest. You've been up all night.
Nino: We're fine. We actually want to talk to Marinette about something when she wakes up.
Sabine: Ok, if you're sure. We need to get back to the bakery. Call us if anything happens.
Alya: No problem, Mr and Mrs Dupain-Cheng.
*They leave as Alya turns back around to face Marinette. A couple of minutes later, Marinette wakes up*
Marinette: *Holds her head* Ow...
Nino: Hey, Marinette.
Alya: Hey, gurl.
Marinette: *Sits up a little* What happened?
Alya: Hawk Moth happened. Do you remember much?
Marinette: I remember Cat Noir standing in front of me...
Nino: *Unlocks his phone and shows her the news feed*
Marinette: *Reads it then gasps, covering her mouth* WHAT?! I— *Frantically looking around then holds her head* Ow... where's Tikki? And... AND THE MIRACLE BOX?!
Nino: Adrien dropped this box off earlier. I believe he took your miraculous off and put it inside the miracle box. *Picks up the box from under the bed and places it by her side*
Marinette: *Opens the box and sees an envelope, she opens it and takes out her miraculous and his ring*
Alya: He gave you his ring back?
Marinette: *Panicking* No..no..no...no.. *Searches the box and sees 2 miraculouses* H..how... How did get the peacock and the butterfly miraculous back?!
Alya: *Sees a doctor coming* Quick pass me the box!
*Marinette quickly puts everything back and gives the box to Alya*
Alya: *Puts the box under the bed*
Doctor: *Enters* Hello, Marinette. How are you feeling?
Marinette: I'm fine. My head just hurts.
Doctor: I'll get you some pills for your headaches after I've done some checkups. *Goes over to his medication cupboard and writes notes on his clipboard*
Alya: Me and Nino are gonna go and get some sleep. We'll see you tomorrow.
Marinette: *She gives them a little wave as they leave*
Doctor: Sorry about this Marinette, but I've left my keys in my office. I won't be long. *Leaves*
Marinette: *She smiles at her doctor as they leave. She takes her hands out from under the covers and opens her hand to reveal her and Adrien's Miraculous she didn't put away. She puts her earrings in.*
Tikki: *Appears* Marinette! I'm so glad you're ok!
Marinette: Thank you, Tikki. *She smiles and then looks at the ring in her hand, starting to frown*

~Many Hours Later, with Adrien at the bakery with Tom & Sabine~
Adrien: *Sitting by the fireplace, zoned out*
Sabine: *Worried* Adrien? Sweetie?
Adrien: *Comes back to reality* Yes?
Sabine: Are you okay?
Adrien: Not really.
Sabine: Do you want to talk about it?
Adrien: A..am I... a bad person?
Sabine: What do you mean?! Of course you're not!
Adrien: I feel bad for what happened to Marinette...
Tom: *Stops baking and pulls up a chair* Listen, kid. You can not blame yourself for your father's actions. You are nothing like your father. Marinette was doing what she does best... being Ladybug.
Adrien: *Smiles a little* Are you glad it was your daughter being Ladybug?
Tom: We couldn't be any prouder of our daughter, especially with a partner like you by her side.
Adrien: That means a lot, Mr Dupain-Cheng. And... thank you for letting me stay here while my father is at the police station... I mean, I think Nathalie and Gorilla deserve a little break.
Sabine: Adrien, I just have one question.
Adrien: *Nods*
Sabine: Why are you here and not with Marinette right now?
Adrien: She won't want to see me after she finds out I gave my miraculous back to her.
Sabine: I'm sure she'll understand why you did it.
Adrien: But now that I think about it, this is how me and Marinette met! I can't get rid of something that special!
Tom: Then you know what you need do?! Go get her, son.
Adrien: *Smiles, gets up* PLAGG, CLAWS OUT!
Sabine & Tom: *Just staring*
Adrien: *Looks at his hand, realises* Oh right! Guess I better go the civilian way.
Sabine: Nonsense. I'll drive you! *Gets her keys*
Adrien: A..are you sure?
Sabine: Yes! Come on, before the visiting hours are over!
Tom: Good luck!
Adrien & Sabine: *Run out of the bakery*

~In Marinette's hospital room, Marinette is standing by the window, holding Adrien's ring, a little tear falls~
Adrien: *Runs in* Marinette, I love you! *Starts breathing heavily after running from the car*
Marinette: *Looks up, in awe* Adrien? *Turns around*
Adrien: *Smiling big, breathing heavily*
Marinette: *A tear falls and she runs up to him to hug him*
Adrien: *Hugs back, tightly*
Tikki: *Sitting on the bed, watching this whole interaction*
Marinette: *Pulls away and gives a little punch on the arm* WHY DID YOU HAND YOUR RING BACK?!
Adrien: *Holds his arm* Ow! I'm sorry! I realised it was a mistake!
Marinette: *Crosses her arm, giving a mad look* You know I wouldn't want anyone else to fight by my side.
Adrien: I know... I was just upset but now I realise I can't throw away the most important time in my life... *Holds her hands* Meeting you.
Marinette: *Blushes*
Adrien: Marinette.... I really do love you....
Marinette: And I... I love you, too...
Adrien: So? What do you say?
Marinette: I... I have to think about it... right now, I just really need to sleep.
Adrien: *Smiles* Of course, I'll see you tomorrow at school?
Marinette: *Nods*
Adrien: *Lets go of Marinette's hands and walks to the door*
Marinette: Adrien, wait.
Adrien: *Stops and turns back around*
Marinette: *She slowly walks up to him and without hesitation, she kisses him*
Adrien: *Kisses back, holding her close*
Marinette: *Pulls away* That was a thank you...
Adrien: For what?
Marinette: For being by my side whenever I was in danger.
Adrien: I really am sorry my father hit you with his cane.
Marinette: Don't blame yourself, I just didn't want anything bad happening to you. Now, go.
Adrien: *Smiles and kisses her one last time*
Marinette: *She pulls away after a few seconds and hugs him*
Adrien: *He hugs her tightly before letting and walking out the door*
Marinette: *He watches him leave through the interior window*
Tikki: What about his ring?
Marinette: *Sits on the bed* He's already got it back... *Smiles as she lies back down*
Adrien: *Gets into the car*
Sabine: All good?
Adrien: All good.
Sabine: *Starts driving*
Adrien: *Opens his hand and sees the ring in his hand, he smiles widely, closing it shortly after*

~The Next Day, Ms Bustier and Mr Damocles had changed the date for the festival to today. Everyone is at their booth~
Alya: *Goes over to Nino and Adrien* How are you feeling, boys?
Nino: I'm awesome now that my girlfriend is here. So when's your girlfriend arriving, Adrien?
Adrien: She... uh... hasn't said yes yet. She wanted to rest up.
Alya: She's had a crush on you since you gave her your umbrella. What reason does she have to not say no?
Nino: Any news on your father, tho?
Adrien: He's... uh... going to prison. Which means I'm going to live with Marinette for a while.
Nino: You gonna visit your father?
Adrien: Of course I am... he's still my father... I'm starting to get a bit... thristy... I'm gonna go get some water... *Leaves*
Sabine & Tom: *Walk in and go straight to Ms Bustier and Mr Damocles*
Marinette: *Walks in, shortly after*
Rose: *Screams* MARINETTE!
*Everyone starts to crowd her*
Adrien: *Comes back out drinking his water*
Alya: *Sees him and shouts* EVERYONE MOVE OUT THE WAY!
Everyone: *Moves out of the way, showing Marinette*
Adrien: *Sees her, drops his drink*
Marinette: *She smiles big and starts running up to him*
Adrien: *Runs up to her too and catches her, hugging her close*
Marinette: *A tear falls* Yes, I will be your girlfriend, kitty.
Adrien: *A tear falls* I love you so much, Bugaboo.
Marinette: *She kisses him*
Everyone: *Claps and cheers for them*
Kagami & Luka: *Look at each other, smile*
Luka: I knew they would find their tune at some point.
Kagami: It was a long night but... they found it...
