"So you're a liar?"

The boy stared dumbly at the girl, wondering why she would be so mad over the fact he lied about a personal part of his life. He believed he could lie if he wanted to, it would protect him and her from getting hurt if this blossomed into a friendship. He understood the down falls of being well known while this girl probably didn't have the slightest idea.

"I wouldn't say liar, defiantly not truthful, but probably a small fib." he rambled on as the girls face got angrier by the second.

"So you are a liar. Good to know." she frowned and glared at the boy. She didn't like the fact he straight up lied to her or that she believed him.

He boy noticed the irritated look on her face and couldn't help but wonder why. He knew if he asked something she would most likely end up even more annoyed but it was his only way to communicate with her.

"What's up with you and lying?" he questioned her, "Have you ever thought I had reasons?"

The girl shook her head and shrugged, "Maybe you do but I don't like being lied too. I have my reasons too."

"Well what are your reasons?" he asked but as soon as the words left his mouth he knew that was crossing over the imaginary line drawn.

She slowly made eye contact with him, frowning at his question, "What makes you think I would tell you?"

"I don't know," he said shrugging, "maybe since we are stuck in this subway car, we turn into those cliche movies."

The girl could not even believe what he was saying, but more of the fact she was confused, "I'm sorry what?"

"Well, you know those movies where people are trapped in a room together for a day and reveal their deepest and darkest secrets to one another?" he stated, watching the girl continue to look at him clueless.

"What?"

"Breakfast Club? You've ever seen that?" he frowned and she shook her head, "That's it we aren't friends anymore."

"We never were friends, I don't even know your name Mr. Celebrity." she scoffed at him, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms across her chest.

"My name is-"

"No, don't tell me. I would rather walk away from this little conversation we have going by just labeling you Mr. Celebrity." she glared at him the whole time.

The boy let out a defeated sigh knowing he wasn't going to as much as friends with this girl after there small adventure on this train.

The two individuals sat silently on the train for the next few minutes not knowing what to say to one another.

On one hand the boy was upset that the girl was mad at him. If he knew lying would make her this upset then he wouldn't have done it in the first place. He was just being cautious of his personal life and hopefully wouldn't get her deeply involved with that lifestyle if they became mutuals after. Another part of him was mad that she was upset with him for not telling the truth. She didn't know that whole story and should have at least let him explain first, but in his history of living and liking girls he knew the number one rule: that girls were always right.
