"You're kidding me." Skye spat annoyed of what the band just told her.
The band would be performing on the Ellen Show Friday promoting the album even more although it was already out.
"Nope, sorry we didn't tell you earlier." Jack chuckled as Skye gave him a quick glare before coughing again.
Daniel sat down next to Skye, "Are you sure you're not feeling any better?" The girl rolled her eyes at the boys stupidity, wondering why these questions are even being asked.
"Haven't changed since five minutes ago when you asked me. It hasn't even been a day, give it a day people." Skye sighed, kicking Daniel off the couch and laying back down by throwing the blanket over her body that was chilly and resting her head against a small pillow.
"Okay well I got to get going. I'll see you tomorrow Zach!" Jonah said to Skye, telling him to feel better before he opened the door and walked out.
Over the next few hours the other boys started to leave. The last one to stay was Jack since he wanted to stay until a family got home. He sat far from Skye so he wouldn't catch whatever she had but he checked on her from afar.
"Jack, you can leave." Skye mumbled what her eyes closed, still trying to get some rest.
"I'm good." Jack answered going onto his phone, hearing Skye let out a frustrated sigh and flip onto her other side laying on the couch.
"Why are you even staying?" she asked the boy.
Jack scoffed, "Do I have to have a reason to stay with my best friend?" Skye lifted her head up to give the boy a blank stare. "Okay fine, I was suppose to hangout with Josie but I backed out and used you as an excuse."
Skye gave him the 'you're an idiot' face before dropping her head back down and placing her feet in the ground. She slowly made her way over to the kitchen table where Jack was sitting, wrapped up in the blanket. She took the seat across from him and leaned her head down onto the table.
"Why?"
Jack stayed silent, picking at his nails as he tried to come up with an answer, "I don't know."
"You have to do better then I don't know. Why is so hard that you can't hang out with the girl alone unless your cheeks go bright red?" she asked the boy a simple question in her opinion, but Jack's mind was racing for an answer.
He didn't know. He honestly couldn't figure out why he was the way he was around her. He didn't understand why is cheeks flared red or why his heart beat faster like it was competing in a race. He didn't know why his hands would get clammy or what the tingling feeling in his stomach was. He's felt like this before but that was when he was with Gabbie, his ex. He didn't understand what was going on.
"I don't know! I mean I like her but it's different. Like when I was with Gabbie and felt like this, it was easy. She made it easy." Jack manage to explain and little bit which made everything clear for Skye.
She grabbed a box of tissues on the table and blew her nose, throwing the tissue away by tossing it to the trash, missing. She decided to leave it on the floor before looking back at Jack. "Gabbie is the mother of your kid right?"
"Yeah. . .why are you asking that?" Jack furrowed his eyebrows, confused on the question his friend just asked because it was an obvious answer.
"Just making sure you know." Skye bluntly said hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions. "Gabbie hurt you right? You guys didn't end on good terms?"
