"We pretend to be each other."

Skye looked at the boy as if he was mental. She wondered how he could think of such a solution to this problem that wouldn't even fix it in the first place.

"Are you crazy? I don't want to pretend to be you." Skye knitted her eyebrows as she shook her head and focused back on the candies in front of her.

Zach let out a small sigh, "Look it wouldn't be for long. I'm staying in New York until Monday. We would only keep up the act for a day while we figure out what to do."

Zach figured she wasn't even listening to him, but she was in fact listening to every word that came out his mouth. Skye was bent down, looking away from the boy next to her taking in what he was suggesting.

"Why can't we just tell everyone?" she asked standing up from where she was bent down and took a packet of skittles.

Zach narrowed his eyes at the girl and trying to decide if this girl was cultured at all, "You are kidding right? Have you ever seen body swapping movies?"

Skye thought about it before shaking her head, "Nope."

"What! Really? Freaky Friday? It's a Boy Girl Thing? The Swap? Nothing?" he named movies, all not ringing a bell inside the brain of Skye.

Zach felt embarrassed for himself that a girl who knew nothing was trapped inside his body.

"Sorry, but I'm assuming they don't tell anyone in the stories that they switched bodies?" Skye guessed as she moved along and rows of food and made her way to the check out.

Zach following close behind her, decided he would continue the conversation after she finished paying. He watched the cashier ring up the two items she carefully chose and had to pay the man $6.89.

"Okay-" Skye said reaching for her wallet when she remember it was still attached to her body, "Zach, give me my wallet."

The boy frowned but after two quick seconds he registered what she meant. He searched the two pockets that were sewed onto the fuzzy pajama pants he wore. When he stuck his hand in the left pocket he felt a small wallet and handed it to Skye.

After the two finished paying, they walked through the doors and Zach wanted to get back to the conversation they left hanging.

"So, are you willing to do this for one day?" he asked her as they moved along the wet pavement, him kicking small puddles he saw.

"I'm not thrilled, but it will have to do. It's just for a day, right?" she asked knowing that it probably wasn't going to be a day but instead would be how ever long it took for them to figure there unique situation out.

Zach also knew it wouldn't be for one day, but he hoped if he believed it enough the statement Skye said it would come true, "One day."

It didn't take long for the pair to reach the subway station again, walking down the entrance and waiting for the correct train.

"Oh, I forgot I don't have a place to stay." Zach mumbled to himself but Skye heard him from where she stood next to him.

"You're staying at my place. You kinda have to since you are me." she told him even though it pained her she would have to stick with this guy for another twenty four hours.
