as we all know, maleficent is viewed as [name]'s great grandmother. and she's also the grandmother of malleus. BUT. this doesn't make them related.
aurora isn't the daughter of maleficent. not related in any way. while yes, in the modern-day version of maleficent, the female takes care of the princess, they aren't related.
also, in the original classic, maleficent isn't related to aurora. she is but a mere acquaintance of the king.
in my version ( aka. in this fanfiction ), maleficent and aurora have come to good terms and forgotten the past. and due to aurora's parents passing of old age, maleficent took care of her.
