"Guys, team huddle!" Kota and I turned around, backs facing the fence this time, putting our arms around each other.
"Okay so, what is the game plan?" Kota asked, looking between Brian and I.
"We have to make them like us, because if they don't then we don't have anybody to play soccer with us." Brian announced, Kota and I nodding our heads in agreement.
"What if they're bad at soccer? Then what Kenz?" she whispered. I thought for a minute, if they're bad at soccer, it's not really fun then because we would always be winning. But, we could also make them better since we play everyday. I looked at Kota and Brian an shrugged my shoulders,
"If they're bad, oh well. We can make them better. But I'm sure they're not bad, they quickly agreed to play with us and it sounded they were from like Britain or something." I reassured them.
"Ooh here they come! Act natural!" Brian and I ran off in different directions and started passing the ball, while Kota was still standing in the same spot, dumbstruck.
Lacey and Luke stopped at the edge of our grass and watched us kick the ball back and forth between one another. The girl started walking towards us, but the boy stopped her. Ignoring his arm out in front of her, she kept trudging towards the area where Kota was standing.
"Hi I'm Lacey." sticking her hand out to Kota, Kota took her hand "Dakota but Kenz calls me Kota or Kody." looking at me, then looking back to the small girl. Her blonde hair covered her face, some curls to it, around her shoulders, wearing jean shorts and a white t-shirt clinging to her upper body.
"Hi I'm Mackenzie, but go by Kenz." Waving to Lacey and Luke, he looked me up and down and waved back. "This is our little brother Brian, he's nine." Brian shyly waved to Lacey, clearly finding attraction towards the girl.
Opening her mouth as she was shocked, she spoke, "I'm nine too!" Out of the corner of my eye, Luke is shaking his head but keeps stealing glances at Kota. Awesome Brian and Kota both have people that are potential and I have nobody.
"So Luke, are you going to stand their all day or come play with us?" Asking the blonde haired boy, he has some brown roots so his hair is probably a dyed blonde, still works for him. His face turned to a shade of crimson red and he glanced at Kota, who is quietly chuckling at my question and most likely his embarrassment.
"So, how are we going to do this?" Luke asked his accent very clear, looking between my siblings and I. I opened my mouth, about to speak, but Kody beat me to it,
"We can split into teams." She suggested. Luke nodded his head in agreement, "But how?" Kota looked at me for the teams suggestion, nodding my head, understanding the hint of putting her and Luke together.
"Okay, how about Brian, Lacey and I together, and then you two. That way, it can be kind of even since the little ones are like a total of one."
"That sounds like a good split!" Luke exclaimed. Barf, major potential between these two. I can feel the attraction between them pushing me away.
