ROSÉ was desperate, but at least she was on the right track — she had just sent Courtney to hell, now she only had to get Denali to forgive her.

''Yeah, only that — like it isn't the hardest thing in the world for me right now.'' Rosé scoffed.

Oh, Denali, Denali... Rosé had known her for a while now, and had a pretty accurate concept of her girlfriend — gracious, droll, flirty, obstinate, and the quality that hurt Rosé the most right now, resentful. It was going to be hard to get Denali to no longer harbor a grudge against her; but Rosé was willing to do anything to win her girl back.

Yet, so far... it had been rather difficult — it was only mid-morning on Thursday, and Rosé had already tried to call Denali's phone more than 20 times, all with no answer. The blonde was trying it all; but the other girl just wouldn't cooperate.

Then, Rosé thought about contacting the second person she knew that could help her, Mik. Still, Rosé was a little unsure about doing so — the two girls had been there for each other since the beginning of times; but this not-so-small mistake could've possibly turned Mik against her. But Rosé still did it — after all, Rosé was in no position of rejecting any kind of help right now.

Rosé: Mik I know you probably already know what happened and you're most likely mad at me, and though you have the right to be, please hear me out

Rosé: What I did was a mistake, I promise I love Denali! I don't want to lose you or her

Rosé impatiently watched as the text messages sent through, and begged Mik would answer quickly; but after a while, Rosé was beginning to lose her hope.

Rosé: I understand if you don't want to talk to me but please just give me a chance!

Read. Rosé saw the double blue check appear next to her text message, making her heart shatter. Though Rosé still loved Denali very much, girlfriends come and go — the fact that her very own best friend was turning against her was the most disheartening thing ever for Rosé.

That's when Rosé finished losing all of her hope, and finally gave up. She began to cry loudly, as she slowly slid to the floor with her back against the wall, and cried inconsolably on the floor of her apartment for a few hours that seemed eternal to her. Rosé was disappointed and pretty much disgusted at herself and her behavior; she saw a girl in the mirror, and wondered who it was. Throughout Rosé's whole life, she had always thought that she knew herself perfectly as she could understand why she acted in certain ways; but now, she felt as if she was a stranger to her own persona.

And today, the same girl in the mirror was crying out her eyes out. And, for what it seemed, there was nothing no one could tell her to make her feel alright. Except...

Just when it seemed like everything was lost, someone knocked on Rosé's door. They say that one always returns to where you've been happy, and this time would be no exception. Standing at the door was not necessarily the person she expected; but definitely the person she needed the most at that moment.

''Hi...'' Mik awkwardly said, leaning against the wooden door frame.

''What are you doing here?'' Rosé asked, leading her friend into the inside of her home.

''What? You didn't expect my visit?'' Mik sarcastically replied with another question.

''Uh, no... I texted you left me on read — for all I knew, I was dead to you!'' Rosé scoffed, with a light chuckle.

''Yeah, what you did was pretty fucked up, and I felt for Denali. I felt in a way, betrayed because the Rosé I saw kissing Courtney isn't the Rosé I've known my whole life. That's why I was rather disappointed rather than mad at you. However, I don't know... Maybe it was the sorrow in your text or something that awoke my benevolent instinct, and I just knew I had to come see you. After all, that's what friends are for, right?'' Mik explained, as she sat down on the floor, next to Rosé, and reached for her friend's hand.
