IT was now Tuesday, and the sizzling sun practically ignited the school. It was a fine day for sure — from the warm sunlight to the sweet birdsong. The sunshine was in everyone's bones, its heat radiating outwards into the bright day. It was as if the people glowed — their aura so happy on these balmy days.
Mik, Olivia, Utica, and Kandy were sitting in each of their respective desks in the classroom, chirpily chatting and laughing — it was clear that the pleasant heated weather had positively influenced their mood. And though some other academics around complained about the torrid weather, bliss reigned in everyone's spirit.
Everyone except for Rosé's — quite on the contrary, the hot weather ignited passions, sending her internal blaze into overdrive. The blonde's aspect was lethargic and depressing; and her manners were cold and apathetic. Her glossy blond mane didn't have its usual luster — instead, it had a much more somber and bleak character to it; and her curved void eyes were cupped by two dark circles, as tenebrous as night. No one had ever seen Rosé in such a melancholic state.
While her other friends were practically oblivious of Rosé's poor state, Mik noticed how unusual her friend seemed, so she worriedly approached her.
''Are you okay, gorgeous angel of my life?'' Mik said, as she sat on the desk next to Rosé's, causing the blonde to slightly lift her head from the ground, and giggle softly.
''Well, honestly, no. Not so much. I've been thinking about it, and I don't know if I want to keep going to the strip. I just feel like it's a waste of time at this point.'' Rosé confessed.
''Oh, poor baby... Don't say that! Hey, do you really not see how special you are to Denali? Did my virtuous motivational speech mean nothing to you?'' Mik asked.
''It did, but... I just don't see how I'm any different to any of those disturbing swains in Denali's eyes. Listen, what is even the point in continuing to chase Denali if she has already rejected me? I bet there's pretty much any difference between me and those creepy-ass men I always see at the strip.'' Rosé explained.
''Oh, c'mon, Rosé — don't be ridiculous. We talked about this just yesterday! Of course Denali has feelings for you, SHE KISSED YOU! Have you ever seen Denali kiss any of her johns?'' Mik yelled.
''Shut up, Mik! Ugh, how would you even know? You've never even met Denali!'' Rosé yelled back, and with that she stood up, and left, annoyed.

MIK returned to her house, with the situation that had just happened with Rosé playing in her mind. She felt apprehensive about her friend, and couldn't stop thinking about her possible heartbreak.
''Rosé is, in a sense, right — I've never met Denali, so how could I know if she actually likes Rosé, or if she's just playing with her heart, right? Ugh, I don't know, but... by the way, Rosé describes her to me, I just know Denali's kind-hearted, and seems like a good girl for my friend, and... I just know Denali likes Rosé. I just need to prove it to her. And I think I know just the way to do so...'' Mik thought, walking in circles around her living room.
