"Why don't we walk around the plaza today?" Her head turned quickly towards the white haired man, brows raised in surprise from the suggestion.
"Walk around the plaza?" Restating what he'd said she watched him give a nod in confirmation, she wasn't sure what made him want to go into town but it also wasn't like she would decline or ignore the suggestion.
In fact she felt happy that he wanted to hang out with her somewhere other than the beach, even if that was their safe space.
"Alright then. Lead the way." Motioning with a hand towards the pathway leading down from the street onto the beach Abbacchio let out a hum beginning to walk. His steps were much larger than hers but it seemed as though he'd maintained a slow pace mindful of that factor.
Trailing along the sidewalk the two of them stepped into a more crowded area, little stalls were placed everywhere and since the sun had been setting small strung up lights were turned on. Moving in place to avoid most of the other people passing by, Abbacchio paused turning to the side, (Y/N) had disappeared somewhere into the crowd though upon looking around he could spot her standing before a stall.
Peering back as well she noticed her tall companion's gaze and waved him over happily, "Sorry I saw someone selling cannoli." A sheepish smile had stretched out across her face as a small cardboard plate was shown clutched within one of her hands.
"I bought you one too." Stepping away from the stall and back to the white haired man's side he let out a slight grunt in response.
"Let me know if you want to stop at any of the stalls." His response was quick, though she could quickly tell that he must've been spooked when she'd just disappeared. "It gets very busy at night."
Seeing her bob her head in understanding his gaze returned ahead, the lights above became brighter now that the sun had almost dipped below the horizon and soft music could be heard from a live band somewhere within the plaza.
It was always such a lively place, but he never found the urge or need to explore it.
Turning once more he noticed the crowd become denser, although this time around he could feel a faint tug along the fabric of his overcoat and upon looking over his eyes trailed across (Y/N)'s dainty fingers pinching the fabric. Her attention was clearly elsewhere but her hand remained there as to keep the two from losing one another.
Letting out the faintest of sighs he raised the arm adjacent to the side she'd been clutching onto moving it across the top of his overcoat till he'd lightly pried her fingers from it taking to holding her hand instead.
The action was barely noticed as she continued to stare at the different performances and lights being displayed as well as the various different foods and knick knacks each stall had.
"Hey look at that, that's so cool!" Without much thought she'd begun tugging the tall white haired man towards where her attention remained, a childlike wonder glimmered through her expression. "Is that always here?"
Looking towards where she was looking his gaze fell upon a strongly illuminated structure, one of the few light sculptures that they set up once in a while. "I didn't know they had one tonight." Humming that out absentmindedly he watched her stop before it.
Letting go of his hand she dug through her pocket, eyes trailing around the area before the device was waved at one of the security guards passing by, "Hey excuse me!" Without anything being said she handed the cardboard container of cannoli's to Abbacchio jogging over towards the man.
A few words were exchanged between the two before she returned, taking the container back and settling it onto the ground. Looking at where the man stood Abbacchio could see her phone clutched in hand, the outer camera facing the two of them.
"Alright, say cheese." A smile had right away curled onto her lips and the camera's flash went off, the device being returned soon after.
Looking over the photos and huff left her lips, "You barely smiled." Pointing that out with a slight pout she watched him roll his eyes, he didn't exactly know why she wanted a photo with him of all people- but then pondering over it he came to a begrudging conclusion.
"Fine." Letting out a deep breath he'd pulled out his own phone, the device appeared small within his hands but was enough to brighten the (H/C) haired girl's mood instantly.
Shifting in place so that the two were within frame he snapped the photo. It wasn't necessarily perfect but it didn't have the stiffness as the original one.
"There, that better?"
Staring at the photo that he'd taken she remained quiet, her lack of response led him to worry a bit before she grinned brightly.
