"Oh wow it looks so much better now." Her eyes practically lit up as they fell upon the fixed up dock.

The two trailed closer towards the structure not fully able to see what it now looked like.

Unlike when she tried to fix it the entirety of the dock was a consistent dark brown seemingly sanded down and polished. The railings no longer looked like they were about to fall apart at the slightest touch which was nice.

"And your friends did all this? Wow." Running her hand across the top of the railing she hummed once more, everything was so smooth and appeared to have been built by people who knew what they were doing.

That morning when she'd texted Abbacchio as per usual he'd responded with meeting up at the dock. A place the two of them haven't been going to lately since they'd started hanging out elsewhere.

Elsewhere meaning anywhere in town; favourite music shops, candy stores, even to the greenhouse she worked at.

Though today they met up here.

"Yeah they did." He was impressed with the amount of work they'd gotten done on the dock and in all honesty it wasn't even something he'd asked them to do.

They just did it.

"I'd like to meet them one day." Turning his head towards where she stood leaning against the railing a hum left his lips in response.

"They're a lot to take in and honestly I'd probably only introduce you to a few of them." At the recollection of how his teammates were he could only really think of introducing you to the team's leader and perhaps one other member.

Her head bobbed up and down in understanding an 'ah' left her lips, "That's fair enough. Friends can be embarrassing sometimes." Humming that out and shifting to climb the railing she took a seat along the top, her hair shifted in place from the slight breeze.

He understood her words more than anything knowing for sure that lately they'd been teasing him about spending time with another person- let alone a girl.

A comfortable silence ensued after she'd stated that, although this time around it was welcomed. The two had become very good friends at this point in time and perhaps even something more had begun to bloom between the two of them.

"I think I'm going to go swimming tomorrow." Musing that out (Y/N) bobbed her head slightly, although that idea was shot down slightly as the white haired man spoke.

"You'll catch a cold though. It's fall." Pointing that out he watched her lips downturn into a pout. He wasn't wrong with his assumption, she'd definitely catch a cold at this time if she ever did decide to hop into the cool waters before.

"Then what should we do tomorrow?" Her legs swung back and forth as the words left her lips, whatever he would suggest she'd probably be fine with considering most of the things they'd done till now were his idea.

Pursing his lips together in thought his gaze traced the horizon, he knew what he wanted to say but there was another part of him- a bigger part that was more hesitant to voice his idea.

"There's a local cafe that I know in town that recently opened up," Beginning with that he kept his attention ahead already feeling her eyes trail along the side of his face. "They make those sweet breads you like."

A look of surprise briefly appeared on her face at the man's memory. She'd only really brought that up once when they first met and didn't really think much of it till now.

Moving her attention away from the white haired man and towards the horizon she let out a melodic hum, a closed lipped smile crawled onto her face. "So like a date?"

The words caused him to still in place.

Mind running through different responses and what their potential outcome would be before one simple word left his painted lips.

"Yes."

A larger smile stretched itself out across her expression, one that seemed full of pure joyous excitement- enough so he could practically feel his heart skip a beat.

He never expected for someone to make him feel the way she did, it was an odd thing but..it wasn't like he didn't like it- it was just something different.

"Sounds good. I'll let you know when I'm ready."
