I couldn't remember when I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning still in Artemis' room. Looking around the room, barely any sunlight gave in through the small curtains which were somewhat complimenting the room. I was starving but there wasn't much I could do, so I walked around his room. I came across a drawer it was locked, um that was strange because I swear I didn't see it when I first woke up. Maybe I didn't see it because I was too busy yelling at Artemis. But that didn't explain why it was locked. I want to see what was hidden within it. What was he trying to hide? In fact, why did he need to hide something? Maybe a lot, who truly knew because I didn't even know the basic things about him like what he liked to do for fun. There are many things I don't know about him. Honestly, I was thinking too much about it and all I need to do was to get to school no matter how hard it was for me.

My life wasn't gonna get any better if I did nothing. No matter how much I wanted to do nothing I couldn't give up not yet. Grabbing my bag and still in my clothes from two days ago I made my way outside. It suddenly dawned on me. I didn't know where I was. I didn't even know how to get to school from this place Artemis called home.

Turning around I headed back in. I had no idea where or how to get to school so the only thing I could do was to head back in. On my way back in I ran right to someone. I looked up from the floor to see a stunning girl.

"Who are you?" she asked.

She was the prettiest girl  I had ever seen. She had long red hair, freckles across her face, bright green eyes. She was gorgeous beyond heaven.

"Raven. I am Raven" I started, picking myself off the floor because clearly, she wasn't going to help me.

Her nose scrunched her nose as she watched me struggle to get up. I tried bright red with embarrassment.

"W-who are you? I questioned trying to distract her from my sad attempt of trying to pick myself.

"I am Nikita. Nice to meet you!" She said surprisingly in a sweet cheerful voice.

"How long have you been here?" she curiously asked me.

"Not long," I said.

"Oh you must be new, what's the reason you came?" she asked me excitedly.

I wasn't sure how to answer all these questions because I didn't want her to know I was poor or that I was homeless, kicked out by my own brother.

"I am a cousin of Artemis" I lied.

She looked at me curiously. "A cousin? I didn't know Artemis had a cousin" she said doubtfully.

"Oh he does he just doesn't talk much about me" I answered nervously.

"Well okay, any friend of Artemis is a friend of mine. I can you help around if you want" she told as her eyes lit up excitedly.

"No, I think I can manage" I answered turning her down. I didn't want to depend on another person. I didn't have a choice with Artemis but I wasn't going to let that happen again with a friend of his.

"Oh okay," she said disapproved.

I now felt guilty.

"Well if you need anything just ask me," she said as she was making her way out the door.

"Wait! Don't leave me alone" my voice betrayed me. My own betrayal went away as I was her turns around gleefully looking at me.

"Of course, come with me" she giggled.

I followed her we walked into a little colored peach room. The room looked at as if it hadn't been in touch for years.

"Are you sure this is your room?" I asked concerned.

She looked at me but when she did it looked as if she was looking through me.

"Yes, at least it was once" she answered.

I was confused but didn't discuss anymore it.  There was a confused air to her as if she hasn't been in the room for years. I didn't care. I just needed someone to talk to you.

"How much do you know about Artemis?"

I turned my head to face Nikita because that question was out of the blue. Before I could reply she asked another question.

"Do you know we grew up together?

"Really?" was all I could reply.

"Yes, our parents knew each other. He was the prettiest boy I've ever met. He was beautiful almost like a newborn baby girl. When I lost my parents I was brought in by his family. I was taken care of by Artemis. He was always there for me but you won't hear much about me. Everything went South after his uncle died. I was brought into the group home as Artemis but from there I'm not sure what happened. I can't remember but we were really close you can say we were almost dating" she said blushing.

Her expression changed, her face turned gray, she completely stop talking. Her voice cracked before speaking again.

"I think you should go now" she urges me.

"why?" I questioned confused.

"Please, please go" she whispered.

I left as soon as she told me. I returned to Artemis' room. Laying down skin I could help but wonder why he never told me about her. I guess he didn't want me to know anything about his past. I couldn't help but feel hurt. I mean what was not to tell about her? Nikita was a beautiful awesome girl and any boy will be so excited to be with her. She had a likable cheerful expression to her. But I couldn't get that facial expression she made when she told me to leave. Her expression seems to dim when she talks about Artemis. I felt like she wasn't telling me something important. Something about her past wasn't adding up. She was anonymous to me. Something didn't add up. I shouldn't think too much about it but I have to talk to Artemis about her.
