The moon hangs in the sky, hurriedly racing itself to catch up with the fallen sun. The trees's leaves blow endlessly in the spirit of the wind. So many twinkling stars dance across the river's inky waters. A chill runs through the night air, tussling the young noble's hair.
This night, like many others, he had come out to watch the sinking stars dance across the obsidian sky. The sweet sound of the wind and grass reaches his ears as finally he feels a peace in being alone.
Although, something is different this night.
The sound of soft footsteps quickly draws his attention towards the sound. He readies his weapon in his hand, slowly stalking towards the origin. He peaks over the spindly finger of leaves to spot something quite odd to him.
A young woman in raggedy clothing is quietly munching on some of his wine grapes. He cocks his brow before putting away his great-sword. He steps closer to this young woman, having peaked his unending interest.
"What are you doing here? Those are mine," he says in a firm tone.
The young woman snaps her head around before dropping the bundle of grapes on the ground and slowly backing away. The nobleman takes a step closer towards her only for the beggar to run of, bare feet pounding softly in the wet soil.
The nobleman reaches a hand out before dropping it in defeat. He shakes his head before bending down to pick up the branch of grapes, only a few of them missing from their stems.
"Of all things, they eat my wine grapes," he sighs, "There's plenty of food in the world that you can eat. Mark my words, I'll catch you tomorrow."
Diluc turns around, hand still holding the small bundle, and walks towards his home, preparing a plan to catch a thief.
