Diluc eyes open to the sight of the bright morning light that floods into his room. He groans as he rolls over, blanket falling off his bare chest. He stretches and yawns before he gets out of bed. An odd fog of sleep covers his entire body, making him feel, not just sleepy, but warm. Diluc tires to shake away the tiredness but sighs as he nearly falls over onto a wall.

Diluc walks down the stairs with some difficulty. This was quite odd for him to be so tipsy with sleep this late in the morning. He already knew he was late in waking up, so being this tired was infuriating to him. With a sigh and shake of the body, he grabs a new piece of paper and writes down a new note for his mysterious thief.

"Master Diluc, are you alright? You seem quite tired. Do you need a day off by any chance?" Elzer asks.

"No. It's alright. I'll be fine."

"Yes, of course."

Diluc turns away and heads outside, holding the bundle and paper in his hands. He sets them up neatly on the table. Out of the corner of his eye, he notices a bright red apple. Something turns in his head as he walks over to the apple and plucks it from the tree. He sets it down next the the grapes and leaves it there.

All he must do now is wait for the night to come once again.

* * *

Diluc already waits in the tree, leaning his head upon a branch, slowly watching the note slightly flutter in the breeze.

He closes he eyes for just a second when he hears the sound of crunching of an apple. He quickly opens his eyes to gaze down upon the girl happily munching down on an apple, but her eyes stare with guilt on the grapes.

She picks up the pen with her other hand and begins to write down her responds to the note.

Why don't you eat Sunsettias?

They're everywhere!

But I understand, I am much tastier.

:)

The light scratching of the pen floats through the air as he watches the girl continue to eat the apple, core included. He chuckles silently.

Once she finishes, she wipes her fingers on her dirty rags and runs away, back into the dead of the night. Diluc hops down from the tree and eagerly picks up the note to check her reponds.

But I understand, I am much tastier.

sunsettia makes my mouth bleed

Diluc cocks a brow. He already knows this information, but he has to act subtle or she might figure out that she's being watched. He pockets the note and the items before once again returning inside him home, thinking of what to say next to his mysterious girl.
