Chapter 9: Some bloody work

I nodded my head, a bit excited of what I heard. After that, I thought better about that, maybe he meant that he will just kill me and ease Oikawa's life. That's probably what he meant. He wouldn't be that nice, not to me anyway.

I looked at Sakusa. He was wearing similar clothes like the other day, today though, he was also wearing a pair of expensive sunglasses. It was actually a pretty hot day. I look at his suit, then at myself. I was looking like trash compared to him. My jacket was stained with blood and my jeans were a bit dirty.

   - "After today's mission, we're going back to Hyogo for you to pack your things. Make sure to get your best suits with you or other wise I won't get you in my car. This day is just an exception." Though, I kinda got a little small problem... I only had one suit that was nice. I was wearing it usually when I was going with Kita-san somewhere. It had a nice dark-red colour. I need to buy at least one more suit, but I am broke. Great. Absolutely wonderful.

   - "I have only one suit and no money. Plus, I'm sure that Bokuto-san would be mad at you for not taking me with ya." I place both my hands behind my head, one elbow being pretty close to Sakusa's face.

   - "If you don't move that fucking elbow of yours away from my face, I swear I'll cut it without hesitation."

   - "Pfffft. You are soooooo funny Omi-Omi~" I am wondering how far can I go and annoy him.

He cleanched his jaw then hit the breaks so hard that I almost fell off my fucking seat, but instead I hit my head in the car's window.

   - "What the heck Omi-Omi?!" I said loudly as I rubbed the side of my head that was hurting. Some cars behind us stopped, almost crashing in each other. "Are ya trying to kill us?!"

   - "Hmmm, maybe I am. I would rather die than live and listen to your bullshit. Hell sounds more interesting than a life where I have to put up with you and your misery."

I gasped dramatically and pretty loud, to make sure heard me.

   - "I'm feeling offended." If I was good at two things, those are annoying people and being overdramatic.

   - "I'm surprised that you even know what that term means." He said. "If you ever stay any closer to me than you already are, I swear that I'll throw you out of my car and then run over you."

   - "Come on Omi-kun~ What are you gonna do if I will die?~" Teasing people was also one of my forte point.

   - "I will be the happiest man in the world. I will can live my life happily until the day that I die." He said as he was now starting to drive the car again. "So if you ever wish to die, I'll gladly help you."

I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted. He was pretty fun to tease to be honest, but in rest, he was just so... Boring. I decided that now it would be better to shut up. The rest of the road was silent. It wasn't heard any other words from either of us. He was still driving like a maniac while I was praying for my life, but everything was still silent.

After around 20 minutes, he stopped the car. I was almost asleep so I didn't feel that. He got out of the car, then opened my door. He slapped me twice to wake up.

   - "OUCH!!" I woke up and looked up at him. He was standing there like he didn't just slap my beautiful face. "What the hell was that for!?"

   - "Oops, I thought I saw a mosquito on your cheeks." He said with no amusement in his voice.

   - "Ha ha, how funny you are.." I mumbled then got out of the car. I touched my cheeks to see if they are alright. If we wouldn't have been in the middle of a street, I would have got out my gun and maybe shoot him right between his eyes.

I looked around us. We were on a pretty crowded street. Sakusa seemed unpleased by that thought. People were passing by us, none of them sparing a glance towards us. There were a lot of cafes and different small shops on that street. I looked confused at all the shops and cafes.

   - "We're going there first." He pointed a finger to a small but quite chic cafe.

   - "Uhm... Alright then?"

We both walked to the small cafeteria. Sakusa opened the door, waiting for me to get inside after him. He closed the door. A girl and a boy were behind the counter. They straightened their backs as they saw us coming in.

   - "Sakusa-san, welcome!" They both said at the same time and bowed in front of us. Then, the girl stared up at my face for a few seconds before saying: "Welcome as well, Miya-san." I looked confused at her. I don't remember meeting her before. Or perhaps, Bokuto-san or someone told them who I was.

   - "Close the shop, right now." Sakusa didn't gave them any more time, as the boy rushed over to the sign that said OPEN  and turned it on the side where it said CLOSED"Let's go in the back room."

Both employees nodded their heads and led out the way. Sakusa followed behind, so I did the same. We arrived into a small room that was full of cleaning products. In the right corner in the back of the chambre, there was a large locker made of iron. The girl opened the locker's doors. There, she moved a big box of tissues to the side. Suddenly, the locker's shelves moved to the sides and revealed a huge door to a safe. Were we gonna steal money?!

   - "Let me open it." Said my partner, leaving no time so the girl or the boy could answer. He took off his right glove and placed his bare hand on a blue screen. After some seconds, he retracted his hand from the screen and put his glove back on his hand. Without any hesitation, he pulled open the door. My jaw dropped. On the other side of the door, there was a quite big room, filled with gold and money stacks.

   - "Now, tell me Kato-san, Onenimi-san.. Who stole it?" His eyes were especially focused on the girl, but also on the boy. "I will give you 5 seconds to answer, Mizuki." I knew that something was not alright since the moment I saw Sakusa getting out his gun, then pointing it to the girl.

The fear she felt could be seen in Mizuki's eyes. She bursted in tears as she began to say:

   - "N-no one!! Believe me! N-no one s-stole Bokuto-san's money--" Before she could finish the sentence she started, a bullet flew right in the middle of her forehead from Sakusa's gun barrel. She left out a weird sound then fell on the cold floor. She was dead.

   - "Now you, Kouta." He pointed the gun right to the boy's heart. "You have 5 seconds to tell me who is behind all this."

   - "I-I-I don't know w-what you are talking a-about Sakusa-san!!" He was trembling from head to toes.

   - "I am sorry for trusting you, Kouta." Those were Sakusa's last words as he shot the tall boy right in his heart. He fell on top of the girl's lifeless body. Now, below the 2 corpses, a lake of blood has formed.

   - "Put them in some bags." Omi-Omi pointed to a pack of extra-large garbage bags. "I will call someone to pick them up after you are done. " He walked over to the locker, locked it and closed it. "Don't take too long." Then, Sakusa left me alone in that room.

I already started not to like my job. I sighed loudly, then rolled up my jacket's sleeves and went to work.
