Omi-kun, wake.. up... Someone... Please.... Anyone... Save us...

   - "We're losing him, come on!!" A yell echoed. Someone's voice, an unfamiliar one. I felt a few shocks, but nothing else.

I woke up. My eyes flushed open from the pain that suddenly flowed through my chest and veins. A quite small room showed, with white clean walls and.. White curtains surrounding me?.. It was an unknown place, I've never seen a place like this before, but I heard about it from some old friends..

I had no time to think any further as I felt tired for a reason or another. I closed my eyes, darkness taking upon me.

I heard some voices. Some seemed familiar, loud, the other were calm and steady. Some 'beeps' were echoing in the room, probably from a heart monitor. I wanted to ignore everyone, to go to sleep and let the beautiful dreams control me, do anything they want with my body and cursed mind, but something caught my attention. A nameless deep voice saying:

   - "He will, most likely, won't make it."

.

.

.

I was feeling nothing and everything at the same time. My legs and arms were numb, and my chest and stomach area were hurting as hell.

There were a few low voices on the background of the darkness, those not being clear either. They were talking about something, something that I may be interested or not, but that's all there it was. In rest, silence. Not a single sound, not a single word. It was so peaceful, yet so terrifying. I was starting to wonder, maybe I was dead. Or, is this how death feels like?

I was drowning in an endless sea of... Nothing. Well, at least not something good.. And then, a little spark flushed right in front of my eyes. I suddenly saw... Saw something. It wasn't dark anymore, but maybe I would have preffered to be drowning again in the shadows.

   - "Come on Hitoka~ We're going to be late!!" I shouted so that Yachi could hear me from the other side of the apartment. We were living in an apartment we rented, because we hadn't have the money for a house, but it was more than enough. It was our little nest, where we could be alone, have the privacy we needed.

This was the day I was planning on proposing to her. To the love of my life. The onwner of my heart and sould, and, especially, the one I'm willing to share my life with. I was so excited. My cousin and brother know that Yachi is my friend, but I'm going to reveal the whole truth this time. It was Yams' birthday party and he, of course, invited me and 'Samu.

   - "I'm coming I'm coming!!" She said with a loud tone as she rushed from the dresser in our room towards me. She quickly slipped her boots on, then she put her brown knee-lenght leather coat on, arranging the coat's collar while looking in the mirror on our hallway.

She seemed.. Excited I could say? She's usually pretty shy when it comes to socializing with new people she've never met before, but I guess she just got over her fear and actually started being more sociable. I liked that about her. She wasn't the most perfect human on Earth, one fact that made me fall in love with her. She knew she wasn't perfect, she had a lot of fears, but she would always overcome them. With that, I was also trying to overcome my fears and stand up strong for her, I had to stay strong for her no matter what.
