Chris has already been thoroughly prepared for his interview for, well, ever since he arranged the interview for the editing position at the San Francisco Chronicle. He will be one of many editors, if he even gets the job, but this is such a great opportunity for him. He has always wanted to be involved in publishing, ever since he was a kid. He has run through every question he is likely to be asked and questions he wants to ask, many times. So Chris decided to find this mysterious Bianca to talk to her and to ask her questions. Just a few.
Chris was once again in the attic, flipping through the Book of Shadows in the full knowledge that his mother will not be interrupting him, any time soon, as she is with Wyatt at the restaurant preparing for the wedding reception. ‘To find a lost witch’ Chris glances at the spell, and then runs his hand through his hair. “You okay, son?” A voice says. Chris’ head shoots up and his father is in full view, clasping a cup of coffee with severe bed head. “Hey dad. Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just dealing with a personal issue.” He replies. “Is this the same personal issue that you were looking through the book last night, as well?” Leo asked, studying him idly. Chris rolled his eyes. “You’ve been talking to mum, then?” “Of course.” They both looked at each other. “Are you going to tell me? I could help, you know.” Leo says, as he walks towards his son. “I know dad. Bu-But this is something I wanna do by myself.” Leo looks hurt. ‘This isn’t about you dad.’ “Dad, this isn’t anything to do with you or mum. You were the one who said ‘sometimes you have to do things by yourself’” Leo looks down. “Okay…” Leo whispers “Well, I’m just downstairs if you need me.” Leo smiles at his youngest son and turns to towards the door. Then turns back to Chris. “Oh Chris, your sister wants you to call her. She said something about a meeting at magic school.” Leo informed his son. “Thanks.” Leo smiled once more, and went downstairs. Chris looked at the book, and knew the spell would work because she is a witch ‘an assassin witch.’ Chris shudders at the thought. But there was something about her that he just couldn’t ignore. He stood up from his great grandmother’s couch and placed the Book of Shadows once again on the stand and recites the spell. Before he knew it Bianca stood in front of him, as she appeared in a swirl of white lights. “What the hell!” She exclaimed. She had an energy ball at the ready, to face any attackers. But when the lights disappeared, Bianca was staring into the bright green eyes that belong to Chris. When she saw his she immediately crushed the energy ball in her hand. They just stared at each other in silence. Neither of them knowing what to say. Bianca was the first one to break the silence. “So…I see you did see my birthmark then?” Chris just nodded, not trusting his brain to say the right thing in this particular circumstance. But then he thought was the right thing to say? “Phoenix.” Chris said simply. Bianca sighed, shrugged then rolled her eyes. “You couldn’t just leave well enough alone could you?” She said, in frustration and a touch of concern. “I am not going into any detail about this,” she continued “All you need to know, is that I am no longer following in the footsteps of my family. Thank you for all your help Chris, and I mean that. But I can’t have you involved in this. You could get hurt. Goodbye.” She said, but before he could reply she shimmered away. In the full knowledge that Chris knows of her powers.
