He awakes from the beeping noise of his alarm. He glances at the clock. 06.00AM. He groans, but eventually forces his body awake and walks into his bathroom, adjoined to his bedroom, to take a quick shower. He is showered and changed, within 20 minutes and he doesn’t have the energy to make a big breakfast so he just grabs a bowl, a spoon and some cereal. He dreamed about Bianca again that night. Those hazel eyes. At that moment he knows he has to warn her of the elders of their intentions.

Chris orbed into the attic yet again holding a pen and some paper. He quickly found the spell he used last time to summon Bianca and wrote it down, then shut the book. Hoping that no one could hear him, he orbed back to his apartment.

Chris had just finished reciting the spell. And there she was. Bianca appeared in a swirl of white lights and a puff of smoke. This time she had no energy ball at the ready because she knew it was Chris summoning her. The lights faded and the smoke disappeared. And once again the two of them were staring at each other. “Hmm…Anyone else getting Déjà vu?” Bianca asked Chris, with her question oozing sarcasm. Chris rolled his eyes at her comment. “Bianca, I need to talk to you.” “I figured.” “The elders want us to capture you and bring you to them.” He said bluntly. Bianca looked taken back. “Well…you really get straight to the point don’t you.” She muttered. “So, is this the point where you say some spell ad we appear there and I get vanquished? Because that is not going to happen.” Bianca said, changing into a different standing position. Ready to fight. “I agree. It’s not going to happen. You haven’t done anything wrong. I-I’m just warning you.” Chris said, bleakly. Bianca looked taken back, yet again. “Hang on a second. Your warning me?” “Yes.” “Why?” Chris wasn’t sure why, not really. I mean what could he say. ‘You haven’t done anything wrong—I like you—you need protecting—I feel like I have seen you before…’ “You haven’t done anything wrong. And if I am honest I feel weirdly protective over you.” Chris said, truthfully. Bianca smiled at Chris warmly. “Well, um, thank you for the warning.” She said. She was about to shimmer, and leave the room. But Chris stopped her. “Hey! Wait!” He said, grabbing onto her wrist before she could leave. “What?” she asked, looking down at the wrist that Chris was still holding. He let go of her hand, when he saw her glance down. “Stay here tonight.” Chris whispered. Bianca eyes shot up to meet with his. Hazel to green. “I have, um, a spare bedroom…” Chris continued. “I know. You said that the last time I was here.” Bianca joked. “Yeah, I guess I did,” he chuckled. “But I can protect you from both the demons and the elders. And I get the impression you don’t have anywhere to stay.” He explained. Bianca cleared her throat and looked at him once again. She couldn’t shake the feeling that they had seen each other before this whole thing happened. But Bianca realised what a fool she would be to turn down a nice, warm bed. She agreed. “Okay fine. But isn’t this a little creepy. I mean we only just met yesterday.” “Yeah, well, I think we already know a hell of a lot about each other. Magically anyway.” He smiled. She agreed. “Well, um, food is obviously in the fridge. Help yourself and your bedroom is just through that door.” He said whilst pointing out a door on the far right side. “Your bathroom is adjoined in there.” “Thanks.” She muttered, not really sure of what to say. “Well. I am exhausted. And I’m sure you are to. So I am gonna turn in. Goodnight Bianca.” He said, warmly. “Goodnight Chris.” She replied, in mock seriousness. They smiled at each other and Chris disappeared into his bedroom. Bianca decided to do the same.
