They ate in a small, quirky café they found after walking for 10 minutes just talking. Both Chris and Bianca are comforted by the fact that they can talk freely about whatever they want without feeling judged. And they have only known each other for a couple of days. Bianca ate an Italian pasta bake with ciabatta. And Chris ate an 8oz steak with baby potatoes and green beans. Chris gave the waiter his card, without glancing at the check, not waiting to stray away from the conversation both him and Bianca are having about his college years. They leave and they don’t walk back to the apartment they just walk around, just talking. “Well, Bianca, I wanna be honest with you I think we should have a meeting with the elders. But I will be there with you. To make sure they don’t hurt you. I won’t let that happen to you.” Chris suggests. Bianca considers this. She can’t be on the run forever, she can’t keep putting Chris in danger. “Okay.” She says, quietly. Chris sensing this, says “I promise, I won’t let them hurt you. I promise you that.” Emphasising on the word ‘promise’ She felt so comforted in his promise. “Thank you. Anyway, when are you getting word back from the newspaper about the job?” “They said I would know within the week.” They continue to talk, and they slowly make their way back to the apartment.

Bianca left shortly after to pick up food, she insisted, she said it was the least she could do. But he gave her the money. She rolled her eyes then left. He smiled at her. Chris thought about Wyatt, and sighed. He knew he needed to talk to Wyatt, to his family. He knew they would all be in the main room at Magic School. Like they are almost every evening. He closed his eyes, sighed and then orbed to his family.

Chris appeared in a flurry of blue orbs and he was right. His whole family was there just chatting about recent events. They all turned to look at Chris when he orbed in. “Chris, hey.” His uncle Henry said. “Hey Uncle Henry.” He replied, giving him a warm smile whilst doing so. Which Henry instantly responded to. Then Chris’ eyes scanned the room in the hopes of finding his brother. He was in the far corner, just looking through magical books on Elves and Trolls. “Excuse me.” He said to his family, as he made his way over to his older brother. “Hey.” He said to Wyatt whilst gently slapping his shoulder, in a brotherly affection type of way. Wyatt glanced at him “Hey.” Wyatt said weakly. “Look I’m sorry alright. I’m just dealing with personal stuff-” “Involving this mysterious ‘she’ character” Wyatt interrupted. Chris glared at him. “This has nothing to do with you, Wy. You need to understand that just because we are brothers does not mean we have to tell each other everything as soon as it happens. As it turns out it is healthy to keep stuff private from your family, from time to time!” Chris said, with the volume of his voice increasing. Sparking the attention of their family. “Hey! Hey!” Piper said, in the hopes of calming down this argument. “Calm down Chris.” She continued. “Chris?” He repeated. “It is never Wyatt’s fault is it? I mean, well, it is no competition is it. Your older, twice blessed child, with the fancy degree and head boy throughout school and always helps you whenever you need help. And me. The accident you had, when you and dad weren’t even together. The kid who got arrested twice and with crappy powers and who apparently always keeps secrets!!!” He yells at his family. They all look at him with horror. Piper takes a step towards him, and he instantly steps back. Then orbs out. Leaving his whole family utterly confused by the events that have just taken place.
