[ Part 4 ]

You raised your hand to your chest, feeling your heartbeat the same speed as if you were with Xiao.

"Are we good now?" Bennett interrupted,
"Oh?" You were flustered,
"I'll take that as a yes," He stood up, locking your hands together again,
"Where are we going?" You stood up after,
"Hmm...it's a secret," Bennett giggled before pulling you to the next destination.

-

The burning sunlight peeked through the thick curtains in the massive bedroom. His bag was laying on the floor, his t-shirt and belt resting not too far from it. The spacious bed was too big, as he only occupied half of the bed. Xiao laid under his hands that were above his head, his bare torso covered up by the soft blanket. Even though his body was here, his mind was wandering places. 'They would probably be heading to the movie by now' 'What am I even thinking' 'Stop thinking this isn't about you' 'As if I care about what they do' 'I have better things to do anyway' 'What if I go and stop them' These thought ran endlessly in his mind, as he closed his eyes trying to push these thoughts away. But they won't escape.
Xiao rolled on his bed, kicking the blanket off in annoyance. "Why am I so annoying," Xiao growled, sitting up from the bed.

The next moment he knew, he was tying his hair up into a high, tiny ponytail, already fully dressed in his black turtleneck and skinny jeans, a jacket with biker gloves.

The engine roared to life as Xiao swung his legs around the jet black beast, with the famous green neon highlighting some parts. The dark helmet that paired with the vehicle slid onto his head swiftly, as if it had found its owner. The motorcycle speeded off in an instant, there was no time to waste.

Nevertheless, it wasn't long before the motorcycle parked. Xiao put his left foot down on the ground to support himself, as he got off the motorcycle and walked towards the public telephone stand in the corner of his eye. There weren't a lot of people around, as the sky turned dull, concealing the bright sun and the clear sky.
Xiao took a deep breath before dialing the number, and when they picked up, he cleared his throat one last time,
"Hello?" they spoke,
"Hello?" Xiao answered, but somehow his voice wasn't Xiao, it was a feminine voice,
"Who is this?" they asked,
"This is the manager from the arena," Xiao replied with the feminine voice again, cringing at the way he sounded,
"What's the problem?" they broke the silence,
"Your motorcycle has gone missing sir," Xiao dramatically spoke,
"What? Are you serious?" he exclaimed from the other side,
"Yes sir, please be here as soon as possible," Xiao prayed that this will work,
"Okay, I bet that this is because of my bad luck again," he cursed through the phone, whispering the last part, as Xiao hid a smile before hanging up the call.
Once the call ended, he cleared his throat again, "Woah, you sound just like girl Xiao," he mumbled to himself, being proud of sounding like a girl.

-

"Shit," he cursed to himself before walking up to you,
"Y/N, I'm so sorry," Bennett tapped on your shoulders, "I'm super sorry but something super urgent just came up and I really have to go," he quickly explained to you, panicking because he didn't want to leave you,
"It's okay..." you assured him, but hinting disappointment, "What is it though?"
"My-my motorcycle is missing, I got a call from the arena," Bennett explained with worry,
"Oh..." You didn't know what to say, looking down at your feet,
"Y/N, I'll- I'll make it up to you!" Bennett held your hands, "I really have to go...you can go watch the movie!" he let your hands go, before rushing off before you could even say goodbye.

It was almost like a fever dream, everything went so well just before, but now it's as if you've finished reading a fanfiction, returning to the real world. You couldn't see Bennett anywhere now, as people already started walking into the theatre already, leaving you alone outside, waiting for an invisible person perhaps. Disappointed, you decided walked into the theatre alone, "At least I'll get to finally watch this movie I guess," you cheered yourself up, holding the popcorn that was certainly going to run out before the movie was going to start.

-

Xiao took the helmet off hurriedly, shaking his head, as his highlighted hair danced in the air messily. He ran his fingers in his locks a few times before running into the mall, heading straight to the movie theatres. People looked at him, alarmed, as he ran like Usain Bolt, you could only see him for a second, before he was miles away from you.

"One bucket...please..." Xiao panted, holding the counter for support, as he made sure to order popcorn since he knew that you would always finish the popcorn before the movie starts. "Thank you," Xiao grabbed the bucket and took off again, now he just needed to find you.

His glowing, sun-kissed eyes scanned the dim chamber, as he spotted a figure sitting alone on one of the seats at the back. He didn't hesitate to approach the person, smiling in the darkness.

"Y/N?" he sat next to the person,
"Yes?" the figure turned their head around to meet eyes with him, it was sure that she would've recognised him by now,

"Who are you?" she questioned.
