[Part 5]

"Go," was all Thoma could say, handing your bag to you, as you hurriedly walked out of the supermarket, leaving Thoma.

The office was dimly lit, what? I thought they called for a meeting? Why is it dark? You held on to the straps of your bag tightly, scanning around for signs of your colleagues, or even just anyone you know. It's not that you've never been here at night when all the lights are barely opened before, but the mirrors that were stuck to one side of the wall were copying your movements as you walked around the room nervously.

Suddenly, a voice alerted you from behind, "Ms.Y/n!"

You screamed, screwing your eyes shut, in case there was something unpleasant right behind you.

"Ms.Y/n?" the voice repeated in a softer tone,

Turning around to the voice, you cautiously opened your eyes, standing in front of someone's chest, "Mr.Childe?"

"Are you okay?" his eyes were searching for an answer, "Did I scare you?"

Staring at him blankly, your thoughts were speaking in your head, of course, you did, who the hell appears in an empty office at night?

"You said there was an urgent meeting...where's everyone?" your eyes searching the office again, "You didn't kidnap them did you?"

Childe laughed at your comment, the moonlight highlighting his features in the colourless room, "You're quite funny, Ms.Y/n, of course not,"

"Why is there no one here?" You were hoping to go back home and hopefully get the chance to cook with Thoma,

"Well...you see, I wanted you to go somewhere with me...but I didn't know how to ask you out,"

Childe's explanation stunned you for a moment, ask me out?

"Y-you could've just told me," still recovering from his reason, "but I have something to get back to," Thoma, I had to get back to Thoma,

"Really? What is it? Is it urgent?" Childe seemed disappointed, no, you haven't told him that you were dating someone yet,

"Um, I have to do some cooking," with Thoma, you reasoned, feeling his blue orbs looking at you with hope,

"Cooking? You can do that tomorrow right?" he smiled, you gulped nervously, yes, it's true, you can do cooking another day, but Thoma-

"It's not like it's something important right? Or am I wrong?" Childe interrupted your thoughts,

"I mean, it is important, but it's true I can do it tomorrow, but going with you-" you rambled, finding a way to not go,

"Aww please?"

Why is he pleading now?!

"This is a one-time chance Ms.Y/n...you might regret this..."

"Why would I regret this?" moving further away from him,

"Because you're going with the one and only best model in the world, Tartaglia," His confidence hasn't changed one bit,

"Hmm, sorry but I've got better things to do, and I'm starting to feel tired." you rejected, why the hell would you go out with your ex?

"How did you get here?" Childe came closer,

"Bus?" you tried to move back but a desk stopped you, your heart beating faster,

"Then at least let me send you home?" he offered, but you stayed silent, "I lied to you to make you come here, let me drive you home as an apology, and you also drove me home last time," the silence was loud as if a drum roll was building, waiting for you to reveal your answer,

"Fine." looking away, you made your way out of the office before him, it's true you went through a lot while driving him home, so let's just make this fair.

-

Following him out of the building, you unconsciously fiddled with the strap of your bag, it's not like he's going to kidnap you right?

The elevator opened with a small 'ding' as the white led lights ran on the ceiling endlessly. The car park here was massive.

But it wasn't a long journey before you reached his car, parking in the VIP zone near the elevator.

The moment you figured out that this was his car, you couldn't help but let out a tiny gasp,

"Amazed?" Childe recognized your reactions,

"Um, well, it's alright," you tried to act as if this wasn't a big deal to you, Childe chuckled at your reason, knowing that you were obviously lying. He opened the passenger's door to the sports car, allowing you to get on first,

"This shouldn't be the first time on a sports car right?" Childe teased,

"Of course not," you awkwardly smiled as you got onto the unfamiliar car, still trying to get used to the interior while Childe walked to the other side.

After the both of you got on, you were a bit stiff, scared that he might drive too fast, or get into some accident, or-

"Don't worry Ms.Y/n, I'll be sure to drive safely," Childe turned around to face you, "after all, you are my precious guest,"

"Precious...?" you quietly repeated to yourself.

-

The car ride was rather silent.

At least it was for you.

You were completely knocked out, sleeping a few minutes after Childe started the car. It could be because his car was so comfortable, or maybe you were just too tired from today's work. The last thing you remembered was stopping at a red light as Childe texted someone on his phone, smiling, before taking off again.

Glancing over to you occasionally, Childe tried his best to be as quiet as possible, making sure that you were actually asleep.

Once he was sure, he started speaking, saying things that you might want to know; but what a shame, you're asleep.
