"What,"
"What,"
"Uh...like we're best friends...you know," You quickly broke the awkwardness, "more than friends, best friends," you confirmed again, looking everywhere but his eyes. Sheesh, that was close. You talked to yourself. Albedo nodded slowly as if he was thinking of something else,
"Albedo!" a voice shouted from the court, "Stop flirting, you going to play?" they teased, causing Albedo to run to the court with speed, as you let out a long sigh, cold sweat visible on your forehead.

After school 4:33p.m
The sun made way for the night, as Albedo and you walked next to each other, heading to the apartment which wasn't too far. The space between you and him was visibly uncomfortable. It was a gap that wasn't too close nor too far. However, it did lean to the far side. No words were spoken, although Albedo did try to talk to you, but you would either answer with moving your head, or just hum as a response. The liveliness in you seemed to have gone missing unexpectedly today, normally you would be laughing, making random jokes with him by now.
At his apartment 4:58p.m
You stepped into the familiar abode, everything still looked the same. The white, glassy walls, the two pairs of house slippers, one waiting for you. Everything was in its place, but only you weren't.
On the floor, in front of the TV 5:31p.m
Your best friend was making ramen in the kitchen, as the both of you couldn't decide what to eat.
"So...what do you want to eat?" Albedo broke the silence,
"Um...anything," you quietly answered,
"Do you want me to order pizza?" he asked,
"It's okay..." your eyes went to the windows, fiddling with your fingers,
"What do you mean?" he put the wet towel on a chair waiting for a non-existent response, his hair still damps from the shower, "You really aren't going to speak, are you?" Albedo pursed his lips, speaking soundlessly to himself, before walking into the kitchen, pulling out two packets of ramen from the bottom cupboard.
After you showered 8:02p.m
You slid on your comfy pajamas, the snuggly feeling comforting your body, but the tension between you and Albedo was still heavy. It was suffocating. Not only was it for Albedo, but you were heavily pressured because you didn't know what to do. You didn't want to ignore him like this or act cold towards him like this. You could say that you were somehow scared? Or maybe embarrassed? Or maybe you were going to confess to him soon and you were nervous?
So you decided to make an idiotic move, ignoring your problems.
The TV was now quiet, where did Albedo go? You carefully walked out of the bathroom, scanning for signs of Albedo. Nope, not in the kitchen. Your head peeked into another room, not in the study room either. You closed the doors without making a sound.
"Y/N." A voice popped out behind you, causing your heart to jump as you stepped backward intuitively. He has trapped you in the living room, you were now facing your fears,
"Y-yea?" you weakly answered,
"Can you please tell me what's wrong?" he went to the point,
"I already told you, it's just me being weird, nothing too concerning," you explained again, eyes wandering around,
"Why won't you tell me the truth?" he questioned again, "I feel left out you know," he tried to keep calm, you didn't reply, "Was it just because of that Chemistry incident?" he urged you to speak, "Y/N. Do you not see me as a friend anymore? Why are you not speaking?" Albedo asked for the last time. There was a short pause as he looked at you, desperately demanding an answer,
"No it's nothing to worry about, I'm okay--" you finally spoke,
"For god's sake Y/N!" Albedo raised his voice, his voice echoing through the lavish walls, a thick silence kicking in after. His eyebrows were furrowed, while his pupils showed anger, mixed with a strong feeling of worry. This was the first time, the very first time, that one of you has ever raised their voice at each other. Your shaky pupils looked up to him, as your body slightly shook in fear, it was hard to breathe.
But then you let out a small sigh, as one corner of your lips started to curl up, scoffing at how stupid this is,
"Yes, you're right," you started talking back, "I do not see you as a friend anymore," you shook your head softly at the end, diverting your gaze to the floor then back to his eyes,
"So, why are you still in my apartment?"
"Because I like you." You answered his question without having to think, acting as if it wasn't anything big, hiding your nervousness behind you, hiding your fingers that were dancing behind you. It was almost like a staring competition, as the two of you processed what you've just said.
"What?" Albedo stared back at you blankly, not knowing how to react.
Your wall started to collapse, the reality waiting for you as the pieces fell rapidly.
Before the whole 'wall' could collapse, you didn't stand there any longer, dashing away into the bedroom, jumping under the blankets, hiding on the furthest edge of the bed, clutching onto the snowy blanket as tight as you could. You reflected the previous events, them showing up so vividly in your mind. Your emotions kept clashing, one embarrassed at the poor confession, the other one angry at him for yelling at you. You tried to calm your breath down, closing your eyes in a calm manner as you prayed that time will solve this mess.

After what felt like ten minutes, the door slowly moved with a slight creak, as the male walked in silently, closing the door softly, trying not to wake you up.
You were WIDE awake but still played dead, frozen in your position, hoping that he would just sleep. You could feel the bed increasing in weight, as you tried to stay as still as possible.
But then you felt someones' warmth embrace you.
An arm snaked around your waist, as his body shifted closer to you, pulling you closer to him. He now shared the blanket with you, his breath fanning your sensitive neck.
Your eyes shot open. For the first time in your guy's sleepover history, you've hugged each other, or even been this close with each other.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, the gentle voice tickling your skin,
"Albedo?" you called, making sure that it was really him even though it was just the both of you in his place,
"I'm sorry," he repeated, your heart softened, as you chose to stay quiet, it wasn't like you had anything to say anyways,
"You should've told me you liked me sooner," he continued, his arm still hugging you,
"As if it would make a difference," your voice muffled against the blanket, still playing dead but able to communicate,
"Then we would've already been dating by then," Albedo closed his eyes as he smiled, you abruptly turning around to face him,
"What?" you checked if you heard it right, but Albedo just looked at you, chuckling at your cute behavior before turning you around, back to the same position, as he cuddled you again, snuggling his face in your neck adorably.
