Chapter 13

Awake

It was a week and Karma still hadn't woken up. Sarcasm was worrying about if he would ever wake up. I had to keep telling her that he would wake up at one point. I would never tell Sarcasm this but I'm also worried that he wouldn't. But I wouldn't ever tell this to anyone.

"Um, Rei, are you okay? Your spacing out." Sarcasm asked.

"I'm fine." I say, nodding.

"Good. I thought you were gone too for a minute there." She said. I just nodded. It was silent for a few more minutes. Then we heard a groan come from where Karma was laying. Both me and Sarcasm look down at him.

"Uhnn." He groans. Sarcasm looked like she was about to pass out.

"Sarcasm calm down." I say. I turn towards him. 

Karma's POV

I groan. I don't remember what happened. My vision is burred. I can faintly make out  Rei's face just above me. I try to get up and feel a pain in my side.

"Don't try to get up now idiot. Your still hurt." Rei says. He than helps me lay back down. I feel a pain in my head.

"What happened?" I groaned not remembering a thing. The last thing I remember was going to bed. The voice in my head told me to stay awake and that's the last thing I remember. I see Sarcasm and Rei look at each other.

"You don't remember anything?" Sarcasm asks. I shake my head.

"All we know is that you were stabbed. We don't know who or why. We would hope that you would be able to tell us when you woke up." Rei said. 

"So who saved me?" I ask. 

"Who else do you think it was?! It was Rei." Sarcasm says. I'm not surprised. He has saved me before. 

"Makes sense." I say.

"Oh and he was also watching over you most of the time." Sarcasm said teasing Rei. I could tell that he was getting annoyed with it.

"Whatever." He says. Both Sarcasm and I smiled. He then walks out of the door leaving Sarcasm and me in the room alone together. We stay silent for a bit. 

"He really was worried about you, you know. He won't admit it but I could tell that he was." Sarcasm said, breaking the silence.

"Oh." I say. We then go silent.

Then a few minutes later, Sarcasm broke it again, "Well I should get going." She says. Then she heads out the door. She waves at me before going out the door. I waved back.

"You have some good friends there son." One of the nurses said to me.

"Thanks." I whisper.

"That Rei kid helped take care of you. And the Sarcasm girl was here the entire time you were here." She says.

"Really?" I said, She then nodded. 'Wow I never knew.' I think as I lay back down.
