Chapter 11

Sleep

Karma's POV

I got up from bed, ready to start the day ahead. Then I remembered that there was nothing to do. I sighed. As I got up, I winced from the small pain in my back. The wound was better, but it still would hurt at times. I get dressed and go down stairs for breakfast.

"Hey, how'd you sleep?" Sarcasm asked. Then slowly everyone else starts to notice me. I look around noticing that Rei wasn't here yet. I thought this was weird. He was always up before me.

"Ok, I guess. Where's Rei?" I ask. Sarcasm looks at me oddly.

"He hasn't come down yet. Why do you care anyways?" She asks me.

"Just wondering." I say, sitting down. The rest of breakfast is unusually quiet. I can't help but feel like they are hiding something from me.

When everyone was finished, Rei came down. He was looking at the floor. He looked up, scanning the room. When he notices me, he looks back down.

"What are you doing down?!" Sarcasm says in a worried tone.

"I was hungry. I'm I not allowed to eat now?" He asks calmly. Sarcasm looks scared for some reason. Like he could do anything to her.

"You are. But you could have called down. Someone would have brought something up to you." She says. Rei glares at her and she backs up a little.

"So now I'm not allowed to come out of my room. All because of what I've seen. I swear it's real and now all of you are scared of me. The only one is isn't is Karrma and that's only because he doesn't know." He yelled. I winced and saw Sarcasm wince as well.

"Ok, what's going on?" I ask, done playing charades. Sarcasm looks at Rei signaling that he should tell me. He just shakes his head.

"I shouldn't be the one to tell him.You guys are the ones that won't tell him. I frankly don't care either way." He says.Sarcasm looks surprised, but she eventually snaps out of it.

"Well Rei is saying that he stabbed you because of voices in his head, and before them he saw a demon version of himself. He also says that the reason your wound healed so fast was because of an angel that he meet." Sarcasm says, like she doesn't believe any of it. My jaw hits the floor.

"It's true, I swear." He says, almost pleading with me. I can't believe it for a moment. Then I look into Rei's eyes. I see the desperation and truth in them.

"I believe you." I say, nodding my head. Sarcasm looks taken back. It makes since. We were never really friends. So it would make sense for me to just say that it wasn't true. But with what I've seen here it kinda makes sense.

"You both are crazy." She says, stomping off. Rei looks at me with thanks in his eyes.

"Thanks for that. I've been locked in my room every since I told them. They were probably just scared that I would do something to them." He says.

"You owe me one for that." I say lightly punching his arm. Hr laughs.

"Got that. Anyway, be careful. This could happen to you." He says with a serious face. I nod.

"Got it." I say.

"Anyway, I should get back." He said, taking a few pancakes and then leaving. I sigh, also leaving. I spend almost the rest of the day in my room. I only come out to eat dinner. When it's time, I lay in my bed wanting to sleep.

'Don't sleep.' A voice in my head says.

'Why should I listen to you?!" I respond angrily.

'Well, I'm you so... You should trust yourself.' It says. I think about this, almost drifting off to sleep. I decide to try to stay awake. I try to keep my eyes open.

'That's right you don't want anything total asleep. Why don't you put your headphones in?' The voice said. I get up tot he desk that I had left my IPod on. I picked it up and put my headphones in. I turned on Zombie Dance by Escape the Fate.

I then turn back and lay down, facing the ceiling. I close my eyes, just focusing on the music. Over the music I hear the door open and close. I look up expecting to see Rei or Sarcasm. But all I see is a situate of someone I don't recognize.

"Who are you?" I ask them. They don't answer, they just keep walking towards me. Eventually they come right next to my bed. They look down arms and all I can see of them is there bright red eyes. They pull something out from there long black cloak.

I can't see what it is in this lighting. He lowers it down on my chest. As it gets closer I start to notice that it was a knife he was holding. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing would come out. He brought the knife to my chest. He stabbed me and I screamed.

I'm sorry for not posting sooner. I was trying to get 10 chapters in 9 weeks so after that I needed a break. But now I'm back. So expect more soon.
