.Facing the small window of her cabin on 50th floor and overlooking the New York's skyline is one of Sana's favourite activity. Just looking at the high class buildings virtually touching the sky, give her the sense of pride and dignity. Standing head high they make Sana perceive how inadequate and fatigued she is. This buildings make Sana realise the contrasting characterizations between them. This buildings had already set the flingy bar called superiority complex between Sana.
Sana's imagination sometimes personifie this buildings and this literally laugh at her saying 'that how pathetically week and useless you are'.
Number of times she has seen how Sophia fight with her step-mother Meeran and step-sister Lisa, for Sana's rights and on the other hands Sana cannot even rise her voice against them.
Other day Sophia was once so determined to make them pay for their deeds that she went for police station to ask them arrest the three of them, when Sana was abused to the level she has to immediately get admitted for medical help. She still remember the pathetic day of her life.
It was when one of Lisa's crush came and proposed Sana in highschool days. Lisa's crying and tantrum made her father so angry that he pushed her on stairs beating her with leather belt. The injuries was so deep that she has to immediately transfer in ICU.
Police came and asked her for statement in which Sana clearly refused saying she fall down. That day Sophia was so furious. Her frustration was valid but Sana on the other hands was also valor in her forgiving nature.
Sofia was so incandescent that day because of Sana that she was ready to commit a murder. Looking at Sana's condition was making her more enraged, and end of the day Sana's statement to police put a fuel in the fire of her raga. That was a first and last time Sana saw Sophia crying.
It was almost 5 in the evening, and Sana was finally ready to leave the office. She turned around and started packing her stuff when her phone started ringing. Looking at the caller ID she couldn't help but smile.
"Hello Cassy", Sana said
"Well hello to you to", Cassy replied in somewhat cheesy way.
Scrunching the eyebrow Sana continued. "Cassy, what are you up to?".
"That's my line", Cassy said, her voice wasn't usual. This time it was filled with joy and mischief. "Why didn't you tell me that you're going on a date tommorow?", This time Sana was taken a back.
"What make you think that, Cassy. You know it's impossible", Sana asked shaking in fear already.
"There was a delivery guy who delivered a beautiful red colour dress saying that it's for you, for tomorrow".
"Oh... That, it's not for a date Cassy, that's because tommorow I'm escorting Alex in a ball".
"Oh... I see. But you know I'm still determinant that you will find somebody...", Cassy was immediately cut off by Sana
"Ok... Ok... I'm working right now bye", with that she ended the call. Sana exactly knew where the conversation was getting on, and wasn't really upto any date, relationship or marriage for now. Not when her own life is a living hell.
Hailing the cab she waited until driver starts the drive. Once it was on the busy streets of New York, Sana couldn't help but remembers the last time she had a conversation with Sophia about her future.
"So, how long it is going to work like this Sana, getting abused by your worthless father? Hmm...", Sophia asked holding her head between her palms.
"I don't know. I know I am weak, and you know that's a mere quality I loath inside me. There were so many times I tried to stay strong infront of him, but I cannot help", Sana said looking down at the feet in embarrassment.
