⌲ ❝ cotton candy ❞
『bokuto koutarou × akaashi keiji』⸙.
『木兎が目覚めたとき、彼は綿菓子の海に横たわっていた。』
As soon as Bokuto opened his eyes, he realized that he's in a different place.
A couple of blinks were enough for his eyes to adjust with the sudden intrusion of light, for everything around him seems vivid, blinding, bright and white.
"Hello?" He could hear his voice loud and clear- but it seems like it was bouncing off endlessly, as if it was echoing into nothingness, until Bokuto couldn't hear it anymore. "Where am I?"
He was not surprised when no one answered him. He would be more shocked if someone did; considering that he couldn't see anything but an endless sea of white, he somehow hoped that the people are just using invisibility to prank him, but of course, that was not the case.
Hesitant wriggles could be seen on Bokuto's toes as they hesitate to stand on the fluffy land- he was scared that he'll sink, but was relieved to find out that he's light enough to stand on the "cotton land"- as his mind had dubbed it.
His steps felt light and feathery- the uneven ground making him feel slightly ticklish as he roams around the area, not even sure where is he going.
"Oh! Is this what happens when someone gets reincarnated into another world?" His golden eyes gleamed in amusement as he looks at his palms, opening and closing them. "What's my magic, though? I'm pretty sure the guys that I've watched before having some kind of powers with them."
"Bokuto!"
Bokuto's head instantly turned around in the direction of the familiar voice that he just heard. He immediately recognized the unkempt raven hair, which resembles that of a rooster, with a pair of lazy eyes.
"Kuroo!" Bokuto greeted the old friend, which he pulled to give his usual warm hug. "So you were reincarnated into this world too?"
"You're finally here," Kuroo smirked. "What took you so long?"
"I don't know!" Bokuto yelled. "The last thing I remember is I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I got reincarnated here. Did I get hit by a truck while I'm sleeping?"
Kuroo bursts out of laughter. "That'll be one amazing truck if ever."
"Anyway, are there other people who got summoned here aside from us?" Bokuto asked, eyes ending up on their crotch that they two shamelessly expose to the air right now. "And also, a fashion store or something?"
"Everyone's here already," Kuroo clicked his tongue continuously as if Bokuto missed something big. "You're the last one to arrive."
"Oh, then that means Akaashi's here?!" Bokuto hoped, in which Kuroo answered with a nod.
"Walk to your right for a while, and you should see him there."
Bokuto smiled and was excited to see his lover. "I didn't see Akaashi for, like, years!"
Kuroo laughed. "Well, now you'll see him."
Unbeknownst to Bokuto, there was so much more behind Kuroo's laughs. As the former walks forward and bids his old friend goodbye, Kuroo sighed, with a relieved look on his face. "... you've waited for too long, huh?"
It took a few minutes for Kuroo to disappear from Bokuto's line of sight. When he turned around, he couldn't see anyone once again- nothing but heaps and heaps of "cotton" as far as his wide eyes could see.
"Man, this is boring," He whined, temporarily sitting down. He tried touching the "cotton land" with his hands. He smiled when he felt the softness against his palms, gently squeezing it. "It kinda looks like cotton candy."
