『暗闇は常に無力な人間を怖がらせていました。』
The skies are vast and it seems limitless— its territory far exceeds what the naked eye could see, but there is an end to everything— even among those who stood on the very top.
At the time when the creatures on the planet are just starting to make it their habitat, the ones who would only interact are the gods. The gods who created everything that you could see, that you could touch— living beings could never live in this world without their creation.
But the ones who stood among all were two gods— one who reign the skies at daylight, and one who reigns at the dim night sky.
The god of the sun was blazing, proud to show all his glory, and never hides from anyone. He was honest, and radiant, just like the very thing he created. He lights up the entire world, and never lets anyone feel alone. His warmth spreads all throughout your body, and makes you feel at home.
He doesn't have a rule or a certain agenda. Whatever is there is what he'll get. Whatever he thinks of is what he'll do. Whatever he says is what will happen. A truly reckless god, if one may admit. Anyone could strike his heart with a spear at any given time, and he would have no idea.
But no one dares to do that— everyone loves Hinata. His sun provides life to the creatures— be it be plants, animals, or humans. He was down-to-earth (sometimes, literally) and never thought of harming anyone. It was almost too good to be true, but he does exist.
Or at least, that's how it's supposed to go.
After twelve hours of playing around, Hinata had to say goodbye to his happy place. Raising both of his arms in the air, the entire universe rumbled as the god's overwhelming power twisted the planet around, slowly, but surely. The lands that were once shining brightly are slowly dimming up— the skies that were once bright blue are slowly fading into vivid orange.
Hinata looked up— a faint figure of a crescent moon showing on the east side. He smiled, waving his hands up in the air. "Looks like I managed to catch you this time, Tsukishima!"
The god in question sighed— his long, blonde hair moving along with him as he gracefully raised his right hand; and with that, the moon moved slowly, becoming more visible. Unlike the other god's trembling display of strength, each of Tsukishima's steps was rather gentle and elegant; just like the very thing that was chained to his wrists.
"You should probably go now before the other side complains in utter darkness," His soft voice mumbled, the gentle moonlight lighting up his face. "We aren't supposed to stay on the same side."
"Well technically yeah," Hinata pouted, disappointed at how the blonde wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible. "But hey, a few minutes won't hurt, right?"
"It would," Tsukishima answered. "Now, go, and never see me again."
"Ah, wait—" Hinata pulled out something from his pocket— a black flower. It resembles a flower frozen into time as rocks, but it actually feels soft when you touch it; Tsukishima could feel the sheer warmth coating his cold palms as he takes it from Hinata. "Here. For you."
"What is this?"
"A charcoal lotus— never seen one before?"
"I wouldn't ask about it if I already did."
"It only blooms when I'm here," Hinata held both of the other's hands, cupping them together around the lotus. "Apparently, it can absorb my power, so the heat won't go away. How does it feel?"
