Millie had arrived to the small party that Sadie and Caleb were having. She was wearing a baby blue dress that had flower details all over it, off the shoulder dress buttons running down the dress, fitting above mid thigh capturing her slim slightly curvy body.
She was greeted by Sadie with a wide smile and a tight hug. They both immediately started a conversation. Millie looked behind Sadie seeing him, the guy who still has her heart.
After years of not seeing him, he's right there a few feet away from her. His curly hair was a bit more longer than the last time she's seen him. Everything about him seemed different, he looked more muscular and stronger than before. His smile was much softer, but his eyes were the same as before. His dark chocolate brown eyes that she has always adored and loved looking at, they stared right back at her honey brown eyes.
Everything came back all at once, everything she has ever felt for him it all suddenly came back. His beautiful smile, his laugh, his eyes, his curly hair, his skin that she was once so used to touching and holding all the time. The way her stomach would flutter every time he would look at her or how is fingers would graze her skin making her whole body heat up. Everything about him made her heart skip a beat.
"hey mills, it's been a while since we last saw each other" he said as he walked to her giving Sadie the cue to leave them alone to talk.
She never prepared herself for a moment like that, her seeing him again after all those years. Him standing in front of her made all of those memories and emotions come back to her. She still loves him after all those years apart from him she never stopped loving him.
"yeah, it's been a while." she said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I didn't mean to over hear your conversation with Caleb" she said truthfully. She was talking with Sadie and well they were just a few feet apart and she heard him talking about a girl.
"you have a girlfriend?" she asked he nodded his head smiling.
"it sounded like you're really happy with her"
"Yeah I am, her name is Samantha she's amazing. I wish she was here so you could meet her, you two would get along."
"I'm glad that you're happy, that you found your happiness" she said giving him a small sad smile. His smile faded as both of them remembered that day that he ended their relationship.
"Finn, no please" she held onto him pleading to not leave her, to take those words back.
"I'm sorry. I never wanted to hurt you Millie"
"We can work this out, just please don't leave Finn. Please don't leave me" she's sobbing tears streaming down her doll face, her lips quivering at the thought of Finn walking out and leaving her alone.
"I need to find what makes me happy" he says. Millie never brought him happiness.
In the beginning of their relationship everything was going great, but it wasn't until Finn started to fall out of love. It made him think if he was actually in love or wanted to make himself believe that he was in love.
"please Finn" she pleaded holding onto his arm. They were now outside the house, it was pouring hard, the sky covered with grey clouds as the rain fell on the concrete floor.
"I'm sorry, I really am. I'm breaking up with you. Goodbye Millie" he was able to unhook Millie off of him. He left her walking to his car driving away leaving Millie fall on the wet floor uncontrollably sobbing, her heart aching.
He walked out closing the door behind him leaving Millie falling to the floor uncontrollably sobbing, her heart aching. She had lost him, she lost her happiness.
"I never wanted to hurt you. I just needed to figure things out and do the best for me."
"You left me crying in the rain" she said. She was still mad and upset but that could never compete with the love that she still had for him.
"I get it, I wasn't perfect for you, I didn't bring you happiness. Does she kiss you like I kissed you?"they were in bed cuddling watching a movie his arm wrapped around her waist, her head on his chest. He pulled her closer to him kissing the top of her head, she smiled. She looked up his dark brown eyes looking right back at her. She cupped his freckled face smiling, how much she adored his freckles always commenting on how he has small stars splattered on his face.
"kiss me" he whispered to her getting closer to her face.
She leans in closing the small space both of them smiling into the kiss. Her lips pressed on his, he pulls her in closer deepening the kiss. He ends up being on top of her never once breaking the kiss. He never wanted the kiss to end, he loved her kissed, he loved the taste of her lips.
he's always told her how much he loves her kisses, he loves the taste of her lips he could never get enough of them. She was like drug that he was addicted to and could never get enough of.
he finally breaks the kiss he looks at her soft honey brown eyes "I love you"
"Did you even love me?"
he sighs "I don't know" he says not even looking at her.
"our relationship was just a lie. you lead me on making me believe every kiss, every touch, every 'i love you' was real but it was all a big lie."
"i should hate you but you're still the one i'm after all these years." she admits to him.
he doesn't know what to say, he knows that he hurt her but it was never his intention to hurt her but he did. "i'm sorry" he gives her a sad sympathetic smile "I have to go, goodbye" he walks away leaving her once again.
she looks at him walking away letting the words slip out of her mouth "I love you"
After all those years, she still loved him even though he moved on and fell in love with someone else. He took away her happiness but he found his at the end. She kept wishing that she was his happiness but she wasn't, she never was and never meant anything to him.
